[Mod] Reign of Terror

Besides the Illusionist, the addition of skill modifiers was one of the best parts of AoM.

Where is this European server? I’m in Western Europe and I’m getting download speeds of 0.1 MB/s when I normally get about 35 MB/s, seems odd.

Using Rot Launcher I try to download Rot.
Now I am at 29 hours downloading time and it is not finished.
Load first version 0.6.1.4 and update to 0.6.1.7 rewriting a lot of files.
I am curious to know the full time but it is sure that I never update at a speed lower than .1MB/s.
That is really stupid.
That’s remind me my youth in the years 80 when using modem at 15k.
I am in south France mediterranean coast.

Hello everyone! First of all, I want to thank the author of this mod for the tremendous and wonderful work, this mod is the best of all Diblo 2 and Grim Dawn mods.
I would also like to draw the attention of the author to:

  1. You can add more diverse set of class things, such as a barbarian one-handed weapon, an Amazon spear to diversify options for skills.
  2. You can add the ability to increase the number of mobs and elite mobs, here somewhere in another mod I saw this implemented through a dialogue with the NPCs in the city. And it is so rare elite mobs come across
  3. Also can add to the urbosam defenders at the edges of the map, which are still alive give a powerful bonus to the characteristics and the loss of good things.
  4. In fashion, the damage is very increased and, accordingly, the loss of health can be weakened at least by HELL, for example, there is a fine for resistance.
  5. I would also like in READ ME to have a description of where the entrance of the new uber locations and the keys to them can be obtained, otherwise I could not find the cellar in the starting city for a long time

Ram is trying to keep it as close as possible to diablo 2.I personally like the mob density.If i want a rush i play grimmilion or Dawn of Masteries.I play RoT to relax and chill.They will re balance the exp curve so it’s easier for lower levels to level up.
I personally couldn’t care tbh.If they change exp scaling so be it.Only scaling i would think should happen are to reach max level around middle of hell.As people say they can’t max level without grinding and it takes ages.

Think my highest char to kill Baal on Hell was only lvl87. Because each area has a specific level range instead of scaling like in GD in later difficulties, you’re pretty much restricted to the last 2 areas to gain any meaningful XP til you hit about 89-91 and can then grind Moo Moo Farms for a bit better XP.

Good news, after 30.5 hours of downloading it works.
This is a fantastic, wonderful work which reminds me the mod Lilith Jalavia from Mostal for Titan Quest.
I hope anybody make as it was done for Lilith, a complete wiki with maps, characters with their combinations, explanation of skills, weapons and armors, some tips perhaps, and so on … It will be very great and this mod using GD base is a complete new game and worth that kind of extension.

started pure amazon after 0.6.1.7 release, now already 48 level in the middle of act5 Normal+, I’m enjoying it ))

I personally take this project as a transfer of a classic 1.13 D2LoD on a basis of GD engine (and i prefer to have it in that way) but you are the developer and please accept big kudos for your work!

I’ve yet to see a rune above gul drop. I’ve done hidden ubers, sr 51, cow level, a1-5 hell…

Where could I find vex+? Has anyone seen ber/jah drop? If so where?

Anybody know/have a good Javazon build that doesn’t feel lackluster? Wanted to try a Lightning Javazon but pretty much every skill felt Meh. Charged Strike felt good but you sadly can’t proc the projectiles unless you melee a mob which means you need to worry about positioning and the other skills shoot a lightning bolt that chains through multiple mobs.

yeah, just farm highlands leading up to shank if youre out of moo moo keys prior to making an auradin, i used a druid/sorc build to just aoe tag all of the mobs with hurricane/fissure and watched them melt

i feel like you have to have 2 dreams (helm & shield) with sorc as support to make it viable imo but the prob you run into is that youre going to be a little accuracy starved if you dont pump stats into dex directly.

I’m having an issue with the Andariel quest not advancing on a toon, leaving me stuck in act 1. The Tools of the Trade quest showed up when I went into the barracks, but Andariel’s isn’t doing the same, and I’ve defeated her twice now. None of the NPC dialogue chains are advancing past Tools of the Trade. I’ve completed the game on all difficulty levels with other characters, so don’t think it’s my install.

have you tried opening up the quest log and seeing what it states? sometimes the quests wont progress if you dont do everything within an act.

I already have an Omnidin running all 3 Holy auras from items, why would I use damage auras for a ranged/melee build?

it adds damage to ur attack that scales with the ele abilities i thought, when i tried it on a pally while leveling i noticed each level of the aura added more dmg to my attacks as well, but im not 100% sure. i havent played in a few days so i may be misremembering.

but what i do know for sure is that duplicate auras stack as well, which i dont think many people may be aware of

What mod version do you have installed? This bug has been fixed in 0.6.1.5b update and should no longer occur.

Yes, it doesn’t show any quests completed other than Black Marsh and Tools of the Trade, but I have Cain in town already, so game is recognizing that I’ve done everything up to there.

Ran the RoT launcher last night before playing, so should be up to date.
