A little update⦠I attempted Baba Yaga, lvl 110 when Iām still 74⦠and managed to kill her!!!
She dropped me the Key of Hate, Tal Rashaās Mask (regular) and a Sorceressās Trinket
And her heroic chest dropped me a Mang Songās Lesson, +5 to all skills, absolutely amazing!
I must report though that something strange happened.
I died like 20 times before finally slaying her (with lots of kiting xD) but sometimes, when I got back after a death, her HP didnāt move at all, she was taking no damage at all, only way to make her ādamageableā again was to die once more and get back again in the fight, she then was once again vulnerable
Maybe itās a glitch?

Ram i appreciate all the work you put into this mod BUT.
just finished hell difficulty, i didnt even pay attention to my items, components or talents and it was just walk in the park, didnt feel challenged at all for that reason i am done with this mod. good work anyway.
Just 2 posts above yours Ram states heās buffing the enemies, you could try again in the future
Doing hell difficulty as a āwalk in the parkā as well but itās supposed to be like that as of now, real challenge is probably in the Shattered Realm and the Ubers, have you tried that before deciding to just abandon the mod? just my 2 cents

Hey iām not sure if you guys already know this or if it has been reported, but i think the chance to mind control retaliation on Royal Bone Armament set is bugged. When ever it procs i get insta nuked by my retaliation damage because of the mind controlled mob. Canāt basically clear anything with it on. Any fix on this?
Challenge? Ubers and World Bosses REALLY need to be buffed to present a challenge to a summoner Necromancer. Uber Tristram is the only thing that wrecks my skellies.
regardless of the endgame hell difficulty should be challenging imoā¦
i wish it was possible in this mod to adjust some values the way we see fit (monster health, resistances, damage) and make it most fun
you can, but you need to change some dbr files to do soā¦
Funny/sad thing is that the leveling curve here is actually better then actual Diablo 2. Almost no grinding and my summoner Druid killed Baal on Normal at lvl54 here. In Diablo2, on /players 8 setting and some grinding, my summoner druid killed Baal on Normal at lvl49.
In most ways, even at this point where the mod is not yet complete, I prefer it over D2. You guys are doing amazing work.

Next patch will see a significant adjustment of the campaign difficulty. It should make the entire game from act2 normal till act5 hell a lot more challenging.
Thatās more an issue of a summoner build, not the ubers themselves. Plenty of builds have issues with them.
Summoners will be addressed in next patch a bit, both in their skills as wel as how some boss fights happen.
Also, the experience curve will be slightly adjusted to make the leveling more even. Currently majority of exp is gained in act5. It should be more even with next patch.
This is not the goal in how things will get balanced. The goal is to make a fair and challenging experience with skills functioning like they should, possibly similar to how they felt in D2. For example, some skills need a more āexponentialā damage increase, so that they wonāt be as strong while leveling, but they will be viable for end-game (hydra for example, it makes the entire campaign way too easy).
While other attacks, like necromancers bone spear and bone spirit perform completely underwheling compared to the original D2, unless you use one of the 2 specific gear-related set-ups.
Big AoE attacks will be for AoE, not for single-target vs ubers. And not every build/skill will do enough damage to kill ubers reliably.
I am experimenting with different abilties on monsters to target specifically summoners/ranged/melee to give some sort of extra difficulty based on your specific build at certain times.
In addition to this, monster resists will be buffed so youāll notice advantages/disadvantages fighting monsters similar to base GD/D2 depending on your damage type.
In other words, balancing is not just nerfing, itās also buffing
Just a quick question.Did anyone play Medianxl mod for D2?I found D2 base was to easy so i went on to the mod.You think RoT is hard.You have no idea what hard really is.1 mistake and your dead.I will agree some bosses does have a wee bit to much hp/def depends on class.
I found it quite pleasant up to act 5 .I stopped playing for the simple reason i want the full game experience.I will wait for version 1.0 before i numb3er crunch this one as i want to take my time to explore the huge game world.I personally think itās a job well done by the dev team.
I didnāt really like median xl because it was like a weird, trippy version of d2 on steroids - just ridiculous skills, too much happening all at once, where it all felt just too much.
I played the last season of the medianxl seriously for the first time. the first two approaches were really tough. you have to understand the mechanics.The game is not that difficult once you understand some of the most important things that need to be done. And thatās it.if you donāt, the game will be hard or very hard.
