[MOD] Swampmod (formerly known as swampdweller class)

Is this available yet? it still says 1.1.1
Also I would like that attack to be ranged as well. This would work well with shaman with a bleed focus. Did necro/swamp through warden. Now trying shaman/swamp now.

The update sadly is still not up yet, still making some alternate MIs.

As for the thing you want ranged - which one tho? There is 2 melee-only skills and a couple melee-ranged (though not limited to melee weapons) skills.

Devour. Couldnt remember what it was called. It works off main weapon dam.

Devour - sadly the skill is designed with melee range in mind, because of the third node. I will however add some alternate MIs with ranged support for it (like rutnick), though the third node will be quite hard to aim

Mod Updated to ver.1.2.0 (mini content update). featuring new Vinewarped MIs and fixed thornelius shenanigans. sorry for this update not containing any new item sets though (irl stuff and working on a merge mod). i actually wanted to make more stuff before the update but sadly ill be holding off an great fix and some bits of content if i do so i posted the update.

  • Thornelius is now able to warp certain Monster infrequents, granting them new Swampdweller bonuses. check it out!! (give me balance feedback about the items pls)

Adjustments - General

  • Thornelius comes with a brand new (internal) spawning mechanism! now Thornelius has had a visit to the local interdimensional psychiatrist and the psychiatrist has managed to make it (Thornelius) less possesive (he no longer spawns randomly i hope). thanks to jiaco, mamba, and everyone who worked on Grimmest spawning mechanism.
  • The old Peculiar Seed will disappear from your inventory. Rebuy the Peculiar Seed from devils crossing upon updating.

Adjustments - Skills

  • Buffed Penetrate (annihilate2) - added -skillmanacost scaling with rank.

  • Buffed Sadistic Approach - increased stats scaling with rank (forgot which ones). added range to affect allies and pets. added “new” buff application fx

  • Adjusted Eldritch Taint - chaos -%res and elemental -%res adjusted to be in line with Thermite Mines. increased debuff duration to 9s. Increased -da scaling with rank.

  • Adjusted Pall (devour3) - bolts now spawn randomly instead of at the person you hit, may lower dps but makes the pattern prettier

  • Adjusted Stench of the Swamp - Removed stackable -da, replaced with higher nonstackable -da

Adjustments - Items

  • New “Vinewarped” MI variants! check general section for obtainment
  • Buffed Spectral lance - Replaced %wd to annihilate to %tdm, increased frostburn damage by 50/s (150/3s)

Frigid Hunter, The Shadow of Berserkers
so i was fiddling with skills and really liked one and decided to make a full on mastery with it. needles to say it was quite succesful. this mastery focuses on the sides not really touched by the upcoming dlc mastery (berserker), focusing on two handed spears and two handed ranged weapons. even with this weapon bias, they have a plethora of ice spells and skills due to their deeper connection to the winter spirit Amatok compared to traditional berserkers. also Empyrion stuff and black ice.

A skill that makes you shoot rapidly for as long as you can, shattering upon impact in a blast of ice shards. the skill will not rapidly fire when dual wielding, making it only usable when using 1hgun+offhand/shield or 2hgun. the skill that started it all, and my favorite of the bunch

Conjure forth a glacier of pure black ice and send them forward towards your enemies. dealing good damage on cooldown. the modifier reduces cooldown by a flat amount and freezes enemies left standing from the assault, making them incapable of fighting back.
This skill also has a transmuter that instead of conjuring black ice, instead call upon the power of Empyrion to descend the location with heavenly light

The de-facto(kinda) RR skill of Frigid Hunter, call upon the power of Amatok to envelop a location in frozen cold winds. enemies inside will suffer cold damage and reduced capability as well as reduced resistance (on a modifier) as well as empowering the speed of the hunter inside the location.

A modifier for Frozen Domain, this allows the domain to pulse cold air and momentarily freeze targets. to put it simply it looks cool

thats it for now, the class is actually finished but i need to add just enough items for it first (remember how game only has 5 spears and thats thanks to FG which added them?) as well as a 5pc set. not gonna have a concrete release date tho so SoonTM

As I know -% Freeze Duration will not take effect

so i quickly tested it out and it seems to… work?

all im seeing is the stun and no freeze when using transmuter
idk how it actually manages to work since i also ever read that same statement (-%freeze duration didn’t work) somewhere too. maybe crate sneakpatched the thing?

Maybe. I tried CC disabling long ago, and as I remember I didn’t succeed.
Transmuters with stun duration reduction uses not base damage bonus (+% stun duration equivalent to +% to X damage), but conversion (stun duration reduction equivalent stun converted to nothing)

hmm seems to be something very good, when will it be available for testing?

When im done with at least the 5pc set and the vinewarped korvan halberds to at least make the melee portion usable among other stuff.

Mod Updated to ver.2.0.0 (Frigid Hunter!!!). adds a couple of vinewarped gear, a whole new currency and aquisiton, as well as a way to get legendaries other than the gacha!

changelog in description, download link remains the same. just download the 2.0.0 file

i’m translating mod now and have several questions.

tagSwampBlacksmithRecipeDescription03=Let Thornelius weave a relic of unknown origin using your iron and threads as fuel for his vines. The item woven will depend on your level (Rare < lv30, Epic <55, Legendary otherwise) and will always have a swampdweller modifier. ^oCurrently there are only 4 relics, both are legendary tier and thus you will be able to obtain them even at level 1.
Word “Both” was actual in previous version, when 2 relics exists.

About the tags:

  1. ah yes i forgot about that, will change
  2. i think thats a typo on my part, arctic is the one. Will fix
  3. armaments. Again i had another typo :skull:
  4. one melee is blue signifying its melee ranged while the orange one signifies requires a melee weapon. I think its gonna confuse people more than it helps so i think im gonna change it later too. A similar case of ranged/ranged in gelid gale exists.
  5. currently unused, ignoring it is fine

While the frozen domain errors, well their harmless for any bystanders looking at it but they flood the logs like crazy. They’re meant for reseved slots for items though i guess just leaving those slots blank would be better?

Side note sharpvine modifier behaves the same way as eldritch taint autocast but it doesnt display any errors, why is that tho?

Game doesn’t recognize lower skills if list have empty lines. That’s why i suggest to rearrange list. If you want add item modifiers later, just move up frigid fracture and add new skills below.

i’m just loving your mastery & skill designs. frigid hunter is amazing so far (black glacier, frozen domain & gelid gale, working towards ice totem).
