Modding New achievements : Don't appear in game

Hi,
I added some new achievements to the achievement group: achievementgroup_character.dbr but they don’t appear in game, is there another place where to add them ?
Also what is the purpose of the id of the achievement as I don’t see where it is used ?

Achievements are tied to Steam/GoG services, so no, you will not be able to make your own.

That is what the ID is for, to be recognized by Steam/GoG.

(If I previously said you could, I was wrong, sorry about the confusion.)
