Is it possible to make daytime like 1/4th as long as it currently is without patching the executable or using a trainer?
I like the day/night cycle but I prefer playing the game at night and I don’t feel like I get to nearly enough.

Strictly speaking, yes, the mod tools allow you to do this. It’d be a PITA though.
Step 1. Unpack the world.
Step 2. Open the world in the World Editor.
Step 3. Proceed to Editor Mode and select the Sector Paint button. There, change your layer to the Day/Night Cycle Layer.
Step 4. For every Day/Night Cycle in the game, change it however you want:
In theory you might be able to get away with Exporting/Importing some sectors, but I don’t really know.
Step 5. Save/recompile your world.
Step 6. Either build it into a mod or rebuild it into the base game. The latter is a more complicated process that I don’t especially care to go into…
yea mods do help
Easier way is to just copy the layer for cave day and night cycle into all other day and night cycles then recompile per act, not crashing.
