money

I’m lvl 62 I got 1 million coins I never had to buy anything, what are you using the money for?

Mainly useful for crafting afficionados:rolleyes:

Personally, respeccing. Lots and lots of respeccing.

But if you’re feeling especially wasteful, you could buy a ton of faction Epics at 20k each and play the dismantling-for-rare-crafting-mats game. :stuck_out_tongue:

A lot of people save it for crafting. Mainly for Badge of Mastery and exalted boots.

Decorated Shoulders are handy as well, if I’m recalling the name correctly. Good “generics” for odd builds that don’t have a specific shoulder for them, or stat heavy/focused builds, IE “pure” cunning/spirit builds that focus on maxing that stat as much as they can.

Crafting. Skeleton Keys and buying Faction Mandates can take out chunks too.

Mostly buying rares from merchants and crafting

  1. Shopping. You can actually buy very good stuff from vendors.
  2. Crafting. Crafting rare items is another way to get good rares, and the best way to dumpster excess iron.

thanks for your answers , where do you go for buying good stuff all the vendors I check sell useless stuff?

When you craft your first high end relic, all those iron bits are gonna go poof very quickly. Just saying. :stuck_out_tongue:

There is a secret vendor in Blood Trove. He sells some fancy MI gear and components. Also, a quest vendor in Homestead sells useful buff potions and some components. It’s best to course between those two while making a shopping.

And any vendor can sell decent rings, if mods are right.

As well as components like Chipped Claws and Ectoplasm… you can never have too much of them.

Nothing.

Iron bits are only useful in Grim Dawn to buy potions in early game.

When I am over level 8 or 10, I no longer pay any attention again to my iron bits amount.

Agreed. That’s Grim Dawn for you. Some parts of the game are unlimited and very quickly useless and some others are in high demand on and on and on and with no way to ever be able to fully ever satisfy it.

All my completed chars always end up with piles of searing embers and emeralds and nearly no ancient hearts and chipped claws.

Did you know there’s a crafting system in Grim Dawn?

Nah, Searing Embers are at least useful for producing Dynamite. If you farm Crucible a lot (like me) and try to get extra brains/blood/hearts from dismantling bad uniques (that drop in abundance there), you’ll quickly discover that Searing Ember is valuable, and will buy it from vendor whenever you can :).
But yeah, i’m very dissapointed thati my 150+ Soul Shards, Consecrated Wrappings and many other crap components lie in stash as dead weight. At the same time, i’m forced to farm Ectoplasms, Vengeful Wraiths and Chipped Claws over and over again, because you need enormous amounts of those for literally any decent crafted item.

And i often find myself short of iron bits too, due to buying nice MI’s/components, crafting, dismatnling and paying for Crucible banners.

Once I notice I have millions, I craft 100 boots. To get maybe one useful one. Ah, RNG.
