Well I guess I’m at a point were I can start to think of maybe farming some of those but well any help from you veteran would be appreciated.
First a Who/What ? I have seen lot of people ask for Cronley Signet for exemple (which is pretty obvious) but outside of that one what to look for?
And what make those MI keep or scrap ? I guess it is a duo of suffix/prefix that make some really strong while outside of those they are just “ok” so was wondering what I should be looking at ?
Is the question what are the best MIs in the game? I am interested in that too. I have used some for leveling up but not the greatest. For example the Milton helmet has +%Aetherials and + 2 some soldier skills (i don’t mean all soldier skills I think only blitz, overguard) which means for Act 1 it is decent, but then drop for something better. I noticed Titanquest MIs more starting with death weaver leg tip in greece and then of course the BiS stone binders cuffs.
But I’m curious of this thread if the question is which MIs are worth farming. I’ve found some Conley signets but I’m not sure what stats they had tied into the MI (and not from affixes).
Only rarely do MIs beat Legendaries. Cronley’s Signets, Gollus’s Ring, the three Hidden Path MIs, Benn’jahr’s Pauldrons, Iron Maiden’s Shoulderguard, and Zantarin’s Shoulderguard are the ones to look for. Chains of Ygraad are alright.
MI weapons almost universally underperform, except for the Bonecleaver and Aetherwarped Cleaver for a select few builds.
Eh, it’s not great, but it’s not terrible either. Sure, I’ll grant you this one.
As someone rocking double Demonic -of the Abyss of these on a Chaos Witch Hunter, it’s really rather underwhelming tbh. Flat Chaos damage is great and all, but without sufficient resist shred (of the Abyss being insufficient), it kinda falls flat on its face.
Fang of Ch’thon is better.
I guess for that one and only one Frostburn build, if you must, but I wouldn’t say it’s in high demand.
I prefer the raw power of my Venomfang riftscourge slicer of fury:rolleyes:
but then again getting good MI’s are not a walk in the park endeavor… they need specific rolls to truly outshine a legendary and not to mention how hard it is to please RNG to get decent ones.
but as far as end game is concern…MI>legendary…
i love rocking the green color, hate purple and at the end of the day most people i see online rock the same legendaries, so going green is more environment -friendly
edit- not to mention craftable boots are the best for resistances, so aiming for it is a wise move, that’s if you have the cash to burn
well its more about the affixes you can get than the item itself imo.
in most cases MI are used for the high resists that you will never get on legs.
also sometimes for your build you wont have much gear support when it comes to legendaries, thats where MIs (or green in general) will be usefull.
you should keep an eye on greens in general, keeping the items with good stats, usefull resists, cronley rings can be for example very usefull to help you to cap your attack speed (you can have up to 15% i believe), also +OA usually around 100, also cronley ring always have %pierce resist. Gollu is same but with +hp and hp regen.
Any nemesis shoulder can be usefull since they have some +skills and res depending on which nemesis and which shoulders (every nemesis can drop two different shoulders).
and yeah dont forget the basic craft, especially boots but not only, with some luck but usually with also serious amount of scrap/irons you can have an item that no legendary can beat.
The bases I always look at before deciding what to do with the item are Gollus, Cronley, bloodsworn rings, all 3 sect leggings, and nemesis shoulders.
I only keep double affixes and only if the prefix has resists, and only if the suffix is a rare resist one, has some OA, or attack/cast speed, or vitality/potency.
