So demons inflict mostly chaos damage,
Aethereals animate undead bodies by possessing them so those mostly deal aether damage,
but which monsters actually inflict (most) vitality damage?
I’m asking because I was wondering in what situations I actually need vitality resistance.
I think void leeches and such deal vitality damage.
Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong anyone.
Chtonian Harbingers use Vitality damage, as well as some other demons and bloodsworn.
Zantarin the Immortal and Mad Queen deal significant Vitality damage as well. Those two are probably ones you need your vitality resistance most. Also many other mobs and bosses use vitality damage, it’s quite common actually, but most enemies dont deal large amounts of it.
I see, so basically Demons do both, Chaos and Vitality damage, in significant amounts?
Alot of the toughest story bosses use it and as you get later into the game fighting the ch’thon you will start getting hit by it more. All resistances are important though. Use augments and components and a few solid resistance gear to get them to a decent mark untill ultimate when they should all be at least 80% if you plan on fighting nemesis and stuff.

The Troggs from the Mountain Depths deal heavy vitality dmg.
The Groble Death Clan in East Marsh do Vitality damage, I think.
Fury, an aetherial mob, deal high vitality and vitality decay damage
