Moral choice about the Outcast

My character is supposed to be “good” so most of choices are obvious, Kymon’s, kill Ravager’s cultists, etc.

But what to do with the Outcast?

She is marked as “Human” when hostile, not “Aether Corruption”, so she is real human and not possessed being, but, soldiers said that she is one who allow aetherials for Fort Ikon’s commander possession. She even uses same devastation skill as Commander Lucius, and aether magic in general. So most likely she is really allied with aetherials like Gethrand.

She’s an aetherial possessed human that is rebelling against the Aetherials.

Do all the quests of Kymon before you can say if they are truly good.

Yeah, I’d say Anasteria is more “good” than Kymon’s fanatics.

OP, it’s fine if your “good” character is a little gullible :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually, if you read the Untitled Letter from the Aetherial possessing/manipulating Commander Lucius after you kill him, there’s reference to “the anomaly, the revealer of secrets” in Fort Ikon who shares their plans with the humans. “The Anomaly” is called a “traitor” in the letter who will be dealt with once the sabotage of the fort is complete. The letter also says that the Aetherial possessing Lucius has started sewing the seeds of mistrust against “The Anomaly” until they can bring down the fort.

Every indication is that “The Anomaly” is the Outcast, that her help toward Fort Ikon is legit, and the doubts about her were started by the Aetherial possessing Commander Lucius. That makes her one of the “good guys.”

There are very few truly ‘grey’ area quests in this game. Anasteria isn’t one of them - and if you check the lore notes in the area you’ll have your answer.

Btw Kymons vs Death’s Vigil isn’t that grey either in the end (well, it is grey when you are asked to choose but if you follow both quest lines Kymon’s is way creepier/evil)

Kymon’s Spoiler follows if you want to know how bad your choice there was… They are purifying the ‘corrupt’ in the name of a false god who is using them for its own purposes. Basically Kymon found power, decided to dress it up as one of the recognized “good” gods, and suckered in a bunch of gullible zealots into murdering a bunch of ‘the other’ Congrats on joining the in-game Manson family!

Well if you think about it you are almost like her, the only thing the Aetherial possessing you decided to take a hike. Ok that was a bad joke.

As for the thread itself, what matters is your intention not your origin I guess?

the ingame enemy’s insight kinda confirm that shes a good guy, or else they wouldnt try to discredit her.
