More than two classes

Evening all,

I was wondering if anyone has attempted to allow a third subclass, so that characters would be a mix of more than just two classes?

I’m new to modding GD but I have a bit of experience at modding other games. I would be interested if anyone had ideas about where to start, and I’ll be sure to post an update if I find anything.

I had assumed that this would have been asked quite a bit previuously, but I’ve been unable to find any other threads along the same line. Apologies if this is a duplicate thread.

Use GD defiler like to buy all the skills and refund the masteries, there’s no way to mod it in otherwise.

Really? I thought this was something that could be done even in Titan Quest.

Note that you want to end up with the masteries which skills you use for devotion procs since only active mastery skills show up for binding.

You thought wrong

Given how long it’s been since I modded that game, very likely. :stuck_out_tongue:

There was a mod in the past which did what you might want, http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37957 , but i doubt i will work with newest version  so it “is” still possible i guess, but alot work to do in the dbreditor. “-Playerskills uncapped from Masteries, now you can learn any skill without investing points into a mastery.
This allows you to ie, designate your second class to switch between all classes, learn only skills you want.
This works by never investing points into the second mastery, permanently enabling the “Undo Class Selection” Button.
To assign devotionskills you need to have at least one point invested into a mastery to unlock all skills for assignment.
After that you can reset the mastery and assigned devotionskills should still work.”

I tried this mod and used the cheat engine to attempt to activate it but it did not work.

Sorry what’s GD defiler?

Grim Dawn Defiler. Check the “Utilities and Resources” section of the forums to find it.

Ah well I attempted it, but oddly it did not work. It will work if you fully remove the classes with the skills, but if you remove the classes without the skills and save it that way, but refresh the save profile, the class will for some odd reason still be there as if the change was never made. In-game the class is still there also, not allowing you to choose another class.

You can not allow more than the hardcoded 2 masteries limit.

However you can grant your character, immediatelly after starting the mod, more skills by giving them default levels in the corresponding skilltrees.

As for the mastery thing, skills are independant on any mastery stuff as long as they reside in a skilltree that is linked in the male / female dbr file inside the creatures / pc folder.
