Hello everyone. Actually, I would like to clarify how things are now with Mortar Trap and The Big One. Previously, it was not recommended to take The Big One because of the negative impact on speed, as far as I remember. Today I tested the rate of fire of Mortar Trap with The Big One more than without it. Well, and the damage, respectively. Do I understand everything correctly? Thanks in advance for your help!
The Big One is not a damage loss for quite a while (since 1.1.8, if I am not mistaken), but return on investments is still not super high. So, it worth investments, but not significant ones. Usage like this seems reasonable for me:

I tested it on Pyran Shieldbreaker, build is better off not using it because it’s not a dps increase so you end up wasting a lof of skill points. I heard it’s an actual dps increase on Chaos Mortars though.
Not that I doubt you but part of me finds that kinda funny . You’d think Chaos would benefit the least as it misses out on the massive Burn and Fire should benefit more because of it. I guess it’s about AoE - Fire as is naturally gets tons of it so doesn’t care for TBO giving more, Chaos is the opposite.
Thanks for the answer, I collected the Elementalist in the summer, I got a clean mortar, but the points were not enough for full use. And now I have updated my Sorcerer, a very significant difference with the use of “The Big One” and without it. I thought about changing the piety of the elementalist, since the sorcerer defeated all superbosses ))

Quite late into the thread I know, but you say there was a very significant difference using TBO (on standard fire)?
hello, yes, the increase in damage is really quite sensitive, here is my extreme work on the build with mortars.
The only comment I saw (according to Google translate): “What do you think about such a build? Sorcerer, Level 100 (GD 1.1.7.1) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator… Killed a Callaghadra in 15 minutes under Zelics, a Ravager without Zelics in 5 minutes. Less fat, of course, but much more damage” which was without The Big One. So would you recommend the investment? I can’t seem to find much examination, let alone consensus, in the community recently…
I don’t quite understand what you mean, I gave a link to the full build of my Sorcerer, who defeats all superbosses ))
