Most OP items?

Would love to see others inputs on what they think are the most over powered items. I’d tend to say the Lord Alkimos legendary ring set.

This is no means a please nerf these items thread cause OP is what makes games like this fun.

So what’s the most OP item you use.

I’m not sure i’de say OP but Warpfire, Siegebreaker and Tome of the Arcane Wastes are all pretty strong items. There are probably others but those 3 are the first ones i thought of.

Is it still 2016? :open_mouth:

definitely decree of aldritch… there are no single item that gives too much debuff and buff at the same time
1- DA reduction
2- OA reduction
3- Reduced Resistances
4- +1 to all skills in Arcanist
5- +2 and +3 to some skills
6- +%140 bonus to over two damage types
7- crit damage bonus
8- elemental resistance and cooldown reduction

Only thing this item lacks is me:rolleyes:

Too bad Decree of Aldritch debuffs in its proc are incredibly small and get easily overwritten by other debuffs of its type because the debuffs it has don’t stack with other debuffs of the same type. It’s actually a pretty underwhelming legendary.

Can’t honestly think of an OP item. Maybe the Warborn set? I don’t know. It’s the best set for physical sword and shield builds, so i guess that means something.

Mythical Soiled Trousers without hesitation.

Seriously, I would say items like the Plaguemancer’s Amulet or Consumption of Agrivix. You can bind offensive devotions to their granted skill even though it’s an aura. Imagine binding Blizzard to Night’s Chill!

yeah Warborn Set is probably the strongest set atm. Beronath is insane since last patch, and Mark of Divinity is also a wonder.

not to say they are OP (some items will always be stronger that others) but they are among the strongest GD stuff.

If by OP you mean that it’s unfairly strong and justified to be nerfed hard then nothing really stands out right now, but if “so strong and versatile that it’s usually nr.1 candidate for it’s slot almost regardless of build” counts, i would say Peerless Eye.

you need demo to debuff that at the same.time or many wasted devotions… many skill points or devotion points spared thx to that item

In no particular order (except the first one):

  1. Soulrend (currently completely broken)
  2. Warpfire
  3. The Peerless Eye of Beronath
  4. Siegebreaker
  5. Judicator’s Signets
  6. Light’s Defender

These items are frequently what push builds over the top. The vast majority of current meta builds almost always use at least one (and often many more) of these items.

Nonstacking, low values which will be overriden by any solid debuffs.

Not uncommon for daggers/scepters.

Really that’s the highlight of the item.

I’ve long maintained that Decree of Aldritch, if anything, is underpowered and needs a buff, especially in the vicinity of the other Roguelike boss weapons.

Except Demo is not only the mastery that can debuff DA. 70 DA reduction and 16 flat resist is terrible and it’s much better to get a stronger weapon plus get skills and devotions with higher DA reduction and flat resist. Decree of Aldritch is an extremely poor choice for DA reduction and flat resist reduction.

If anything it needs a substantial buff to be competitive with other items. Not to mention being much worse than Sharzul Worldeater and specially Soulrend, the other two legendary MI from rogue dungeon final bosses.

I don’t know if it’s OP because I’ve never used it myself, but one item which obviously stands out is Shar’Zul’s Worldeater. It has +2 to all skills in soldier AND +1 to all in demolitionist; no other item in the game has the potential to give a total of +3 to all skills. On top of this, it has the highest % damage increase of any other item in the game (226% increased damage to four different damage types), respectable amounts of both attack and cast speed, and some chaos resist to top it all off. Finally, the granted skill has the highest source of DoT of any item in the game (435 burn damage per second) with an extremely potent zero-downtime debuff.

If its stats are this good now, what will the Mythical version look like? I think it should be toned down to +1 soldier and +1 demo and the burn damage on the proc should be lowered to 484 over 2 seconds (the same as The Northern Wyrm) or 604 over 2 seconds (the same as Herald of Blazing Ends). No other DoT proc comes anywhere near 435 damage per second (Herald of Blazing Ends is a distant second at 302 damage per second, 69% the strength of Worldeater) so I’m assuming it was either an oversight or a typo.

It’s an item that drops from the final boss of a rogue dungeon, it has to be better than the average legendary.

It’s also a two handed weapon, so it has to have more pluses than usual. Because with two one handed items you can actually get more pluses to skills than two handed weapons, which is something that needs to be addressed.

And the Sharzul Worldeater itself, it’s fine. It could actually be made stronger.
