Mostly Immortal Vampire Build

Came up with a build based on one weapon, Death Omen and the thought of the one thing that’s unavoidable in this game; being hit. I say it’s mostly immortal cause like with any build you can die (aether thus far is my weakness) That being said however I’m 95% done with build in Act 3 Ultimate and this character can literally walk into a mob not touch a single button and enemies die for touching him! It’s fantastic.

The build is a Soldier/Occultist bleeder, vitality, chaos, physical

I’m a level 80 now and remaining skills cap at 82 with 8 spare points to do with as you please. I’m thinking 2 in all the hellhound branch just for fun.

Like I said this character is tanky to the point you don’t have to fight back it’s comical to watch from time to time so many procs.

Playstyle is curse mob, blitz and hit them. simple as that they melt away.

have fun if you try it out or leave thought’s questions.

It’s near impossible to read that huge wall of text.

Sorry I have found that using links to grim calc it is impossible to figure out the devotion skills used.

I think, Crimson Spike for more to “vapire” build, with its massive leech. If you want to focus on spells, though - wont Conjurer be better?

Well I had tried a bleeding mainly warder about a year ago but couldn’t kill ultimate logy. I enjoyed the hit watch them die gameplay and just went with the proc from death omen and came up with build. Soldier for me has always been the most boring class but has the most one point wonder skills and survivablity is good. I just went on gracefull dusk and picked items that looked fun and went with it. Little did I know about the ability to stand still and enemies would kill themselves.

I believe at one point I had a conjurer build since deleted, I think I went pet build though. But yes just looked at crimson spike and it would be a more valid weapon for build to be a heaver bleeding vampire. I was going with the vampire lore of blood and vitality being simalar, sucking life, thus mixed my damages a bit more.

What he posted is not grimcalc. Also the tools can import your char, it is very easy and fast.

Wow thanks never seen or used that tool before. Like I said any build that I have tried to copy from online typically link a grim calc and its impossible figure out devotion. The link you made for my build is awesome the damage is a ? Currently mine is at 29k thats without augments yet and 5 more levels.

Hello,

I feel like this build is similar to the “Doom Bolt Conjurer” by Superfluff, a build i have played extensively. I have also played a Markovian based witchblade focused on bleeding. I will be drawing on my experience playing this two classes to provide my feedback.

Disclaimer

My comments are meant to be taken with 100% constructive feedback/criticism. Additionally I ONLY INTEND TO GIVE YOU ALTERNATIVE SETUPS / IDEAS TO EXPERIMENT WITH! It is NOT my intent to give you a list of things i think you SHOULD change, just things to try

Utilization of Class Choices:

  • I feel like Solider is wasted in the build’s current form due to the classes’ most powerful defensive abilities being centered around the use of a shield.

  • No shield means no use of Overguard, Shield Training, or Menhir’s Will (important Circuit Breaker).

  • Siegebreaker would be a solid choice since it can be crafted and comes with a large amount of physical resist.

Damage Types

  • Looking at the character profile, it doesn’t seem that bleed is as well supported as your other two damage dealers (VIT and CHAOS) so I would take a second look at going all the way down into “Rend”.

  • Not only is the flat bleed damage on the low end, only 448% bonus is low as well.

  • Bottom line, bleed is not well supported and is costing you a lot in terms of devotion and ability points invested.

Point Investment

  • So many points are invested into overcapping many skills (esp Blade Arc and Laceration) that you are not invested into Military Conditioning, Scars of Battle, or Decorated Soldier, all soldier mainstays

  • Few points are invested into Blood of Dreeg and Field Command, leaving your OA in the low to middle range and DA in the low range (below 2k).

I think you are benefiting from blade arc spam as its’ 147% weapon damage component should see healthy returns from ADCTH, but since it is NOT the main damage dealer of the build, maybe bringing down the points to increase OA/DA is warranted.

Cheers!

Verdict

Thanks for the feedback,

I have since completed the build and beaten Ultimate minus the 3 rouge dungeons (cause I hate them)

Up to about middle of act 3 he was awesome when huge monsters like flesh hulks appeared he became to easy to one hit die.

I skipped most of the gates of necropolis to hit the one shot chest and get the free legendary from logy.

The final boss I died about 4 times, keeping my personal experience of ranged builds are so much better than melee. I need to find someone else’s build that can face tank ultimate mogdrogen or something and try it out.

All in all it worked but I have never had luck with melee characters being great and thus deleted this character to work on a cold build based around the legendary item soulrend from alkamos and the winter king helm.

Just how I play I either beat and delete or give up and delete. Only have one character as a level 85 farmer and it is a build from wolfoverclockedgames plaugemancer that rocks.
