i have been playing Grim Dawn for over 1,2k hours and i’ looking forward for the Addon… but i have a big problem… i’m getting old - sadly - and it hurts to hold the leftclick for hours, and as far as i know, there will be no such option to solve that problem in the game itself. So i wanted to check, if there is a special mouse for arpg’s out there? Or do you have other ideas?
I’ve already tested it with controller… can’t use that… i use too much buttons in my build’s and it’s strange… don’t like it.
Thx
EDIT:
I also tried:
assign a click to a button and place a paper on this button that it is mechanically constantly pressed… doesn’t work in a useful way… you need to lift it too often.
search a program to create a click on/click off button what would be really nice (logitech doesn’t allow that because of abuse)
all kinds of programs to create a macro… but it’s always handled as cheating and i think it’s not allowed in that game either
Have you tried moving your main attack to right click? It seems to help me a lot even if I’m still using left click to move around or interact with things. Probably something to do with click frequency and intensity in combat? As opposed to moving a whole screen’s distance with one left click “move only” or even shift+click transferring a bunch of components to the stash.
I did that both too… doesn’t work for all things - just a few simpler builds. I thought about it yesterday and remembered a few other things that i also tried.

Not sure what you mean, GD is fully moddable, it’s an sp game with no ladders. I’m not sure there’s even such a thing a “cheating”, you can kit your char out with any item required with one tool. I posted a very basic into to using macros ages ago, others have discussed macros and it’s not an issue at all.
Edit…try using caps lock and scroll lock for toggle keys without using extenal software…might work…:undecided:
Autohotkey:
Enter this in your script:
Numpad2::SendInput,% “{LButton “((toggle:=!toggle)?“Down”:“Up”)”}”
This was the only way for me I found out for you now to toggle in Grim Dawn without annoying stop-and-goes while moving your character around. Numpad2 will start the script, you can replace this one with whatever you’d feel better with
RButton seems NOT to work fine at least for cadence, also
In Windows mouse settings you can put a sort of toggle, too (hold the button foe a sec to toggle it until you click again). This worked horribly bad if at all
-the (in diablo3) known numlock trick didnt work for me either.
keyboard macros made my character stutter hit-the-blank-air + run as well
Sounds interesting. Is this with the Autohotkey program? Think i’ll try that.
Anyone tried to make and mod for that without the need to start a sepperate program for that - an automatic function or something (if possible)? Or is a mod for that out there and i am too blind to find it^^?
@ all
Thx for your ideas and keep posting if there is another solution :).
Safe as “desiredname.ahk” instead of “desiredname.txt”.
Edit the now made .ahk script by entering the code.
Rightclick the .ahk script and choose “run script”.
for some who prefer to see “how to”, this guide goes step by step (no toggle as example script there).
Ah, and by the way: http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53629
Grim Internals could make you feel even more comfortable. A utility NO MOD which lets you autoloot.
Its like a blessing to my fingers and you can configure it. I love it!
