With the new expansion live I decided to start playing again, so I installed the game (GOG version) and put my old save back in the right place. Since a lot have changed since last time I played I wanted to start fresh, so I logged into my old main to put some stuff in the shared stash. If I drag and drop an item from my bags into the stash or vice versa everything works fine, but that would take quite some time so a quick google later I found out that if I used shift I could quickly move items from and to my stash.
With shift held down and left clicking on an item the first item moves just fine, at times the second do as well, then it just stops, if I keep on clicking my mouse on different items I hear a sound “beep boop” repeating over and over again. Then after a while it can start working again, but most of the time I need to manually drag an item before I can shift click one of two items again, at times it don’t start working at all so I need to go back to the main menu and login to my char again.
I’ve set everything on default, I’ve tried windowed boderless mode since I’ve read that in the past that could clear up stuff, I’ve gone into device manager and uninstalled the mouse device and let Win 7 install them again.
This is a really weird bug that you’re describing and I haven’t had any such issue at all either with 1.0.2.0 or 1.0.2.1 and I’ve swapped a decent amount of items to and fro.
Then again I’ve had other issues that most other people aren’t having, but these aren’t related to your topic and I don’t want to derail that. Just pointing out that I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re one of the few rare ones that has this issue.
The shift-left click should work just fine, I’m not sure how you could help out the devs to reproduce this issue
What you are experiencing sounds like either windows’ sticky keys which is weird because that should only appear only when you press shift quickly multiple times. Or it sounds like multiple keys are pressed at once which mean you might have a locked key in pressed position from time to time
Thanks for the replies guys, I’ve checked a few more things, including sticky keys, nothing solved it. However after playing for a little while I decided that I remembered most things and turned off the tutorial tips, now it works as it should, now I can hold shift and just spam left click all over my bags and everything gets moved into my stash.
Tried enabling the tutorials again to see if the issue would appear again, it didn’t but the speed when moving items between bags was significantly reduced.
No idea really how the two are connected but at least it’s working again
