Maybe just I am the lame but my character is not moving toward the target during simple attack. I checked and unchecked the “gamepad targeting” box in options but nothing changed. My char is just standing in one place and strikes with weapon…where is the error? What did I wrongly?
This is simply not possible with a controller, I don’t like it either.
On the other hand ranged attacks are easier because you have auto aim.
yeah this is somewhat how it works. If you see the red marker over a monster which you can change around if im not mistaken, when your attack is in range it will hit that monster. when not in range the attack will just activate that attack without first moving towards the target. So you would have to do 2 things at once, 1 is to move constantly towards the target you want to attack and 2 is to target the right target as the system will simply target the closest one. Then there is classic target locking i am not sure how this works entirely.
It is so sad.
In Inquisitor: Martyr PC version it works like a charm…
I have been playing with a gamepad for more than two years. Initially I missed move-to-attack, too, but now I am hardly noticing it.
I thought of that as well. You get accustomed very quickly. Also it would be a bit weird to have your character moved automatically when you have the analog stick just for that. After all, that’s the huge advantage of controller over mouse & keyboard - immersion and the feeling of actually controlling your character, not pointing where (s)he needs to go
