As much as i love new content, new story, new quests, new places to explore, new items, new everything, sadly, that will not be forever. Everything the devs release will be finished by players in a short period of time comparing to how much work is put in. And no matter how many expansions they release (i hope a lot), we will always finish them and wait for another…which, again…will not be forever.
The best thing for the game is, imo, a rift/map system similar to d3/poe for an ongoing progress feeling so u can always play to do just a lil bit better. And i will always stand by that. Having something to compete for, not just with players, but maybe also in single player (hopefuly anti-cheat/hack wise), will give u that feeling of wanting to play the game and enjoy it more.
With random generated maps, or taken from the existing ones, it would be awsome.
Also PvP wouldn’t hurt some improvements.
I’ve always wanted to play a CS type PvP in an RPG. Like a 5vs5 / 10cs10 map with 5sec respawn…like a CS/DOTA style…would be ultra fun.
Overall what i want to see in next expansion is ability to change colors of items, and effects of items (glow/flames/etc).
And please make damage conversion also convert the color of the spell
We need a damn cookie jar for this crap too. The devs themselves said they don’t want any kind of rift or map system. Quit asking for this. The devs actually want your character progression to have an end and not a slow one at that. Same for random generated maps, the engine can’t do it without massive changes. And that is best left for the sequel because of how much work it would have to be done.
No, it’s not the best thing for this game, it’s actually the worst. This game has no competition whatsoever. At best you have people comparing Ravager/Mog kill times and Gladiator finishing times and this is fine because it’s just minor stuff.
And no, don’t put any put any crap mode like Dota or LoL. I swear if resources are wasted to make such a vile mode, resources that could have been used to improve the single player, the main focus of the game, i would stop playing.
And remember, if you really want a random map system (I can’t imagine why but to each their own I suppose)… make a mod for it yourself. Don’t post the same thing for the zillionth time, I don’t even read these posts anymore.
single player is getting less played by the day, more than 75% of people who play games, play online games.
i personally also like single player for the story line and imersion into it, but i after finishing it i will always prefer online…seems normal.
And overall online gameplay will be…is already…the gameplay of today.
If u dont like it, and the devs said they wont implement it, it doesnt mean is the worst thing. Is actually one of the best things that happen to RPGs, and if it werent for them, d3 and poe would have far less than half of the current number of players.
I agree if resources are spent, let them be spent on GD2. And make it possible there to also have a similar type of ongoing progress gameplay style, no matter what it is.
Tbh after u finish the game with a char, it becomes boring very fast to play in single player. U get faster nemesis levels also in party. Single players is most enjoyable when u actually do something, not for farming imo.

I’ve seen this crap being spewed more and more often and it’s factually false. A lot of the best selling games of last year were single player only. Like Horizon: Zero Dawn, Zelda Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey. On the side of multiplayer, it’s actually starting to lose popularity. Games like Destiny 2 and Battlefront 2 have been losing players everyday. That’s because multiplayer is now being used to sell overpriced lootboxes and microtransactions.

The reason PoE has the current number of players is because it’s free. Doesn’t cost a dime to play. It doesn’t having anything to do with multplayer. And Diablo 3 has the numbers of players it has because it’s Diablo. Diablo sells no matter how crappy it is.
And yes, it is the worst thing that can happen to Grim Dawn. Grim Dawn is a single player focused game, the end. Quit asking for multiplayer focused crap.

That’s because the character is done. Move on to another character or stop playing the game altogether.
At this point i’m just gonna start ignoring these types of posts. These people just constantly asking for crap that are in other popular ARPGs just because they have it. Crap like stuff from Diablo 1 and 2, closed servers, competitive multiplayer and random maps. Competitive multiplayer can’t exist in a game that encourages modding. The devs literally made mods tools so that you could change the game to your liking. Use them and quit forcing things into the main game that many people don’t care or want.
What i want for Grim Dawn is actually new things. Not just crap other games did it. New, exciting stuff that has never been done before in the genre which is what i hope the new gameplay mode is. Not some crap like one playthrough only or Adventure mode or whatever.
Yo smoke some weed ma’friend…no one is at war here…just sharing thoughts…u seem very upset about nothing…u think we all have time to read all the posts and see what is already asked ?
lets just say everyone has a different point of view on what we like but we dont all agree and we just have to wait to see what is implemented or not in this or another sequel…if it won’t or will…its not a reason to badly argue…
I’m at my calmest state, not upset by a single thing. This is also a forum to discuss and also argue things and that’s what i did. Expect people to argue with you.
When i was talking about single player or multiplayer gameplay, i was refering to games that have both. not comparing a single player only game with a multi player only game.
Multiplayer only games are very few…and i dont think is a good ideea unless we are living in the year 3018.
And if u dont like it it doesnt mean everyone else doesnt like it.
And how can people compare MARIO to GD ? ??? ?? ? ?wtf ???
games that have both are predominantly played in SP, by like 90% of the players
EDIT: when I wrote MP focused I did not mean MP only either. I meant games that have both but where the SP part is short / more of a tutorial. For those the 90/10 ratio is wrong, but for games like GD it probably is even overstating the online percentage
And if u dont like it it doesnt mean everyone else doesnt like it.
I am aware of that, given your statements I am not sure you are aware that this is true for you as well however
I noticed you did not mention where your 75% came from so I assume you made it up based on the fact that you do it, and the theory that if you do it most others do it as well…
