tried hosting on two very similar systems(hardware wise), host crashes by freezing…system does not fully crash just the client. Happens the same way on both systems even though software setup is different and AV is different
Have tried file check, and a full uninstall and reinstall of the game.
Everything is cranked up to max graphically.
only host crashes, tried changing host to another system (my wife’s) several times host crashes when initiating contact with the vendor in devils crossing. Kerick the Salvage Dealer. No crashes other than there but we do that often as we fill up so it is a bit frustrating.

No issues in any other games we are playing right now including Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands which is pushing our systems much harder. No other instability we have run into…systems are pretty new.
No clue, it is just what it defaulted to I guess. Everything in that link has been done or is not applicable. Most of it is router wan to lan, and as this is a lan to lan all of the router ports don’t come into play. That being said we have killed firewalls and a and tried several settings but nothing has changed.
On that note …I don’t see how a port issue would cause a host to crash when going to a vendor. That being said we still tried it all but go not visible change. Same freeze.
One thing that was different but not better is windowed it doesn’t black screen…it just freezes. It was black screening when in full screen mode. Also, just to be specific only the host freezes. The joined player just eventually gets kicked out. Just to clarify.
Is there any troubleshooting I could do for lan host play? Seems like a non network issue but it’s hard to say without good logging. Is there a way to turn on verbose logging?
ps I responded right away on this, but I guess the system doesn’t take email replies. Sorry for the delay.
The host only crashes when interacting with this vendor? But crash does not occur if client interacts with the vendor?
Does the crash occur every time the vendor is interacted with, or only some of the time? If it’s sometimes, what’s different about those times? For example, is it because it’s after a prolonged session? Is the client in another area of the game while the host is back in town? Etc.
Everyone’s verified game files? No modifications or tools are running?
