Multiplayer un-multiplayable

Hi, i only want to give my feedback on multiplayer. Im playng GD since a couple of months and i tried today for the first time to play with some friends i convinced to buy the game. Multiplayer is full of lag and crashes all the time.
I don’t see the other players or i see them standing still when the move and fight… honestly, as it is the multiplayer feature is literally unplayable…

yea, if you play softcore, it’s not that bad, you will die due to the clunkyness and lag of the multiplayer, and also by the increased mob damage per additional player.

if you play HC, then stay in single player unless you have an incredibly good synergy between both builds, or unless you can play in LAN.

I’ve finished the game 3 times (normal, elite, ultimate) in multiplayer with my friend without experiencing such problems during gameplay…
I farm every days Nemesis with 2 or 3 friends too.

I dont says it’s perfect, we have a lot of problem to connect to each other, and sometime, we have to retry several time before login…
The game sometime crashs when we logout (but we have the same problem is solo)

When you play multiplayer, you’re not hosted by grim dawn’s servers, but by the one who created the party.
If you lag & crash so much, it’s your own connection :undecided:
Maybe try to open Ports & firewall

the lag you suffer is maybe a router issue, if you didnt configure your router yet i would hightly recommend to do so for both player.

** In order to host a multiplayer game you need a router that supports either UPnP, or a router that will allow you to manually forward port 27016 for TCP and UDP. **

This is a peer-to-peer connection, which means your connection depends on the host’s connection. If your upload rate is trash, then lag is inevitable. If your friend is at the other end of the world, then lag is also inevitable.
