Must have constellations for pet build recommendation

Hi guys, I am very interested in making a pet build, either Conjurer or Cabalist.

And even for each of those classes, there are multiple pet builds so I’m kinda lost, especially when I’m trying to build the constellation tree.

It would be great if you guys can recommend the strongest and must-include constellations for pet (tier 1, tier 2) so I can start from there.

I dont think there is an Alpha and Omega pet build.

My pet cabalist is a variation of the Unimaginative Skelemancer build.

It has

  • the Fiend constellation bound to the skeletons
  • the Bat bound to the Blightfiend
  • Solael’s Witchblade bound to the hellhound
  • Shepherd’s Call bound to Bone Harvest and
  • the Dying God bound to the sundered wraith.

There are several ways you can build a pet based class and it will depend on what type of damage you want your pets to be doing. Have a look in the build compendium for those classes and see what others have used.

As an example, here’s JayNyne’s Conjurer build which started out as a poison based mostly one, but later as further updates were made to the game, became a lightning based one.

Go to grimtools calc and then to the devotion tree. Then use the search function and search for “to all pets” and look which ones gives defensive bonues like resistances, health, armor, defensive ability to start with.

Max out Hellhound and Briarthorn’s base skills and they should take you a fair way through the game just like that.

As well as Conjurer builds in the compendium you could also look at this one.

last question: I want to convert Briarthorn and Primal Spirit damage (physical) to Chaos damage.

Does the skill Consecrated blade help with that??
