On the left side of the character screen, there is an up arrow. Click it, navigate to where your characters are stored (C:\Users%username%\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\save\main_CharacterName\player.gdc) and load it.

Are you using Steam Cloud saving?
Try your steam files, something along these lines:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata(Bunch of Numbers)\219990\remote\save\Main\
