My Dual Pistol build

Currently Lvl 30, so a work in progress.

Why Night’s Chill?

Thanks for the catch. Took that out and bumped up Blast shield and Hellfire Mine

The real question, probably, is “Why nightblade?”

Why not? All the guide are Pyronmancer, I thought something different would be fun. That is what I love about this game, so many possibilities.

The heal from Pneumatic Burst is really handy I am finding

You can can make good use of pistol innate pierce conversion with Night’s chill, Especially blademaster.

>Full investment in Phantasmal Armor
>Kraken on a dual wield pistols build
>Ulzuin’s Chosen when you have none of Stun Jacks, Grenado or Canister Bomb
>Ulzuin’s Chosen, at all
>Not a single point in Elemental Awakening
>Only 15 in Nightblade Mastery (WHERE ARE YOUR STATS? HOW DO YOU EQUIP THINGS?)
>Hefty investment in Flashbang but ZERO in Searing Light
>Bothering to take Thermite/Hellfire Mines without at least getting Thermite Mines to 9/16

Well, you’ll never get farther than Veteran, but have fun anyway I guess.

Nightblade is neat. Blade Trap as a lot of piercing/bleeding/life leech, it stops a huge pack of mobs and allows you to proc several times a devotion effect.

Blade Spirit moves in front of you and softens the mobs before you can attack them, and again they proc devotion like crazy.

Lethal Assault can be good, because of Cadence’s 400% weapon damage.

But does it happen? Unless you facetank, most mobs should be dead before reaching you.

See below for responses

-Kraken is for two handers only

-Do you even know what does hellfire mine do?

-What damage type do you plan to focus on?

-Why elemental barrier (crab devotion)?

-You need points in Searing Light

-Have you actually even played the game before making a concept build?

-I get it you want try something different but atleast get the basics right

  1. Phantasmal Armor is simply never worth a hard 12 point investment. Most passives aren’t, frankly.
  2. As Chthon said, Kraken is 2 handers only. Complete waste on a dual pistols build. And Crab is honestly not good for a Sab. The elemental bonuses are… there, I guess, and the defensive bonuses are… well, they’re eminently replaceable. The proc is garbage and you will never use the Internal Trauma bonuses.
  3. Ring of Steel is utter garbage unless you go Ring of Frost and/or Circle of Slaughter. Trust me, I have TRIED to make RoS do things and have suggested changes to it (that Crate is probably going to ignore). Elemental Awakening offers you more relevant damage bonuses, resist bonuses and you’re already taking Pneumatic Burst anyway.
  4. You’re going to have a lot of trouble meeting requirements for decent jewelry, decent pistols and decent armor without a better investment in the NB mastery bar. Your spare points will dry up very fast.
  5. I still don’t know why you’re going Hellfire Mines at all. The only Chaos damage you do is the little bit from Brimstone. You have no meaningful bonuses to Chaos. Chaos generally doesn’t work well for Sabs.
  6. You probably don’t need 10/12 on Flashbang. You can easily get by with 4/10 and let skill bonuses boost it from there.

I find the -5 seconds PB cooldown from Breath of Belgothian hugely game changing for a squishy character like this. Consider getting this.

I agree with your build diversification point, it’s plain boring to see the same combinations over and over. But if you want to get the most of your build, consider making it more physical/piercing based, with fire only as a misc damage. It will be even more different from those generic elemental based gunslingers (yes there are a lot of em) and you will get the most of your combination, leading to a solid build. A nice Blade Spirit proccing everything in the pack would be awesome, as said here before.

Don’t write things in your post’s title.

Update the main grimcalc in the original post rather than posting new ones here, people coming to this thread won’t bother browsing through ever single post to find the correct grimcalc

You still refuse to do any research before making changes and are solely focused on this thread’s feedbacks.

Oklaine’s Lantern is exclusive to daggers, scepters and off-hands.

Here is a devotion setup if you want to focus on fire

I don’t recommend trying phys/pierce on a Sab. Commando, maybe. Blade Spirit is crap - its only really good use is to trigger procs.

Been there, done that, commando included. Yup, not the strongest char around, but could beat ultimate (some heart-stopping moments included) with it. And yes, I’m a hipster, love those crap skills.

I’d like to see your unique build that can clear ultimate including the side quests (Hidden Path is a Side Quest btw). I don’t care about the nemesis (even though i make it a point that my builds can kill most if not all of them)

Also you recommended the OP Breath of Belgothian you do realize OP is dual-wielding pistols right?

If its good for something than its not crap, ie put blades of wrath on it and you don’t have to worry about trash mobs, it will melt them.
If you want to go pierce go BM anything else is not even close to it.

This. Ranged Pierce screams BM
