I understand that this is a epic level 82 set. Having said that, as it requires using all jewelry slots and in comparison with Seal of Skies, it feels like it needs a little help.
Help in the form of:
Cast Speed: not a single piece has some, even the seal grants 4%. You also lose some %cdr on the neck piece.
Range: you have to be, what feels to me, pretty close to initiate the cast but to be fair, the chaining effect goes super far. Is there some compromise, such as limiting the number of chains down to 4-5 and increasing the initial cast range to be a little farther off. Also, the granted skill doesn’t list any range in yards. It might help to add what the initial range is to the tooltip to give the player some context about the skill’s range.
Damage: again seems low compared to the seal and I would actually rather have the seal’s damage. It all comes down to slot usage as this requires 3 slots and the seal is just a component that is actually 7 levels less in terms of level requirement.
Side note: using this set feels similar to using all of the Cataclysm Set where as the slot usage feels overwhelming when compared to what feels like an underwhelming gain.
Another angle would be comparing it to Oblivion. Yes, mythical relic but still one slot, huge range with decent damage but also has cast speed, racial damage, and a fumble attached to it.
Honestly, seeing a healthy % cast speed added to the 3 piece bonus would go a long way to making the set worth while and at the same time won’t affect the pieces on an individual basis. Basically a bit more to justify the slot usage would be welcomed.
