Mythical Markovian's Bastion - which is the best weapon and playstyle to go with it?

Hi guys,

Through lucky drops and some transmutation I’ve got the full Mythical Markovian’s Bastion. I’m play solo and self found so pretty happy with finally getting it all.

What would you say is the best weapon to go with the set and which playstyle are seen as the best to go with the set? I was thinking a warder with a ton of life that would come with but, I also feel my damage maybe limited. What is generally seen as the best class combo to go with the set?

I would go Warlord. Oath keeper has some good support for a shield build. You can build tanky and use Menhirs Bulwark exclusive. Warder doesn’t really help in this case, it’s not a shield supporting mastery and has no phys rr. For weapon I don’t really know, lots of good options. You could build around Blitz/Cadence for damage dealers. Take up Shattering smash and maybe Markovians Advantage for WPS. Invest in Overguard and Ascension for damage control.

Thanks for the reply. Having a bit of a search and it looks like Warlord offers decent physical damage for a shield build so gonna run with that.

For weapons, Bargoll’s root is probably the best with decent affixes, but the Totally Normal Shield is also a great substitute.

Yeah the bonus to Shattering Smash and Blitz look really decent.

I’ve already got normal’s Totally Normal Shield in my inventory waiting till I hit lvl 50 :slightly_smiling_face:
