The +% Physical Damage from them will apply before the Conversion takes place, and Fighting Form still applies its AoE effect and Deadly Momentum still provides its buff.
Fighting Form still allows you to hit 3 targets, or have 100% pierce. Deadly momentun still adds a bulk of flat physical damage, that will be converted into chaos.
The problem is, that 100% conversion is most likely happens only on 3-rd hit (Cadence proc itself), while 1-2 hits remain unconverted.
Even if it’s the case (although it shouldnt be), Deadly Momentum adds flat damage to your Weapon Damage, so it will be added to Cadence itself, and will be converted to chaos too.
order for conversion is that base Skill > skill Mods > transmuters> conversion on equipments… see its about almost the end line of conversion so Ceno is right…
Am I to understand that Fighting form will % Physical damage bonus will apply before all physical damage is converted to Chaos? And Deadly Momentum % Physical damage and flat physical damage will also be applied before being converted to Chaos? Internal trauma will remain internal trauma?
The gloves will only convert the flat physical to chaos in Cadence itself, that means the base skill. It will not interfere with Fighting Form and Deadly Momentum.
But deadly momentum gives flat phys damage which is converted to chaos if the player uses cadence when the buff is active, correct? The internal trauma is untouched because there is no chaos over time damage, but the phys should be converted if the player is attacking with Cadence
that is what i understood as well… all cadence skill modifiers (deadly momentum+ fighting form) become part of the base skill itself therefore all are subject to the conversion… correct me if wrong
Just gave it a test myself, and unless the in-game damage calculator is incorrect, deadly momentum damage gets converted to chaos. When I hovered over my Cadence damage, it displayed no physical damage and a bunch of chaos damage (alongside my normal damage types). When I activated deadly momentum, my chaos damage and internal trauma damage increased by a huge chunk and still no physical damage appeared. It takes ten seconds to test yourself if you have GDStash and a level 85 soldier.
Edit: Just to double check, I put a default attack on right click with cadence on left click. When I activate deadly momentum, I get flat physical damage and flat internal trauma on my right click (default attack), but it registers as flat chaos and internal trauma on my left click (cadence)
It used to be that Conversion like this would not affect the Weapon Damage and would only affect the base flat damage of the skill. However, because this made the Cadence transmuter - Discord - incredibly bad, it was changed.
That doesn’t explain how my 2H Chaos Cadence WB still has leftover physical with the gloves then, if they are supposed to convert 100%. And he has around 65% physical to chaos outside.
Edit: And it was changed since it now seems to convert everything to Chaos. It wasn’t like this during beta testing.
