So, me and my friend are planning to start fresh toons for some coop once expansion is out. We would surely want to try the new classes, but at the same time always choose completely different builds to avoid contention over the same loot. So far we’ve decided one of us will be dw pistol Inquisitor, and the other - pet Necromancer.
But then there’s Kymon&Order thing. AFAIK Inquisitor will be free to chose whatever faction he wants, but surely Kymon preferable, while Necromancer will be limited to Order.
This will cause some issues in our coop but, I guess, we’ll get over it.
The question is - will we have the same issues with the Expansion content?
Because if you can’t normally play like quarter of the game together then it’s quite sh1tty and requires reconsideration.
Any insight from devs or, maybe, Praetorians, if they’re allowed to speak about it?
Play non-Necro until you make the choice. Then choose Necro afterwards.
Once me and my GF chose different factions. It’s nothing much, really. Every one of us just killed everything on screen belonging to different faction and that’s it. It’s not like we could kill each other in the game, unless PvP enabled.
Playing single class untill mid-ultimate is not a good solution, it seems)
The reason i’m concerned is because we’re likely to meet and possibly side with the witches in the expansion, and those will probably have issues with inquisitors… so my friend may have some issues.
Plenty of builds for Order inquisitor:
Simple one:
Inquisitor + Necro
Inquisitor + Oculist - focus on poison and vit
Inquisitor + Nightblade - focus on cold and pierce, or poison, and or vit (plenty variations here)
Inquisitor + Soldier - focus on physical/pierce/cold/bleed
Also with items bringing in conversions, I can imagine builds build on specific items that would fit.
Pretty much everything would match save for a focus on Fire & Lightning.
I still don’t get why people have a hard time choosing a faction. The answer is simple you max out both factions.
In your first play through pick which ever faction whose gear you will think helps you out the most leveling. Then make sure in Elite you pick the same faction as you did in first play through. Max this faction out before leaving elite and buy all the available augments.
Then in ultimate you choose the other faction, that way allowing you to also have access to their augments.
If you don’t mind sticking with Kymon’s the whole game, just do that until mid-Veteran. In Elite/Ult, simply don’t talk to either of the emissaries; you will have to earn rep without Kymon quests in Elite/Ult, which is not hard.
