Scourge is just awful, and it’s the only real cold damage mythical relic. we need a relic that has a powerful cold damage proc (as there are for chaos, poison, fire, lightning, physical, pierce and vitality) the one on scourge is an extra attack with a 4s cooldown and zero range.

Well, there is Iskandra’s Balance, even though it also focuses on Fire damage, which is a plus for OFF builds…

Couldn’the agree more with this. A trozan’s relic is definitely needed. And iskandra’s just plain sucks for any build.
This, of course, is an untrue statement.
What is so great about it then? It is practically a downgrade from Agrivix without considering effects and the effect is trash. Smallish % damage bonuses (by the time you consider the amounts of % damage you’ll have at lvl 85 and the uptime of ~25%, if you are being beat constantly) and flat damage which would be great except the proc requires an offhand to trigger. If your build wanted the flat damage you’d be vastly better off with either a DW relic or using a two hander with a demo/shaman relic (assuming such are primal strike/fire strike builds). If you are playing a PRM build stick with Agrivix it is hands down better. There is no build best off with an Iskandra relic, it exists in a strange okay-ish but unfocused limbo.
Im probably not having the largest knowledge on the game but it looks like Cold, as a caster, sucks ass compare to other elements. Like I was looking to build NB cold based because of the amount of items I got recently with cold synergies and %cold dmg but when I checked the forums I realized that Deathmarked set is better used in BladeMaster (melee) and no devotion points on any of the cold constellations.
Am I right?
Cold works fine, it’s just that the pierce setup is so strong that (nearly) everything else falls short in comparison. It’s no accident that builds are ranked by comparing their killing speed to that of the standard blademaster. I have been lucky enough to find all but the chest piece of the deathmarked set (I play purely self found) and used them on a melee spellbreaker focused on cold damage. Even use a devotion setup with leviathan at the end. Works just fine, might be a few seconds slower killing Fabius than a pierce build but I really don’t care about that.
For you to say that, it’s pretty obvious you didn’t even tried using this relic with a cold/fire sorcerer, and is just saying all that based on the relic’s description, so I’m not even gonna bother… either that, or you simply don’t know how to play as a sorcerer.
