Need guidance for an AAR build (solo Arcanist for now)

Can someone give me advice about arcanist build

Im not aiming for an high end build, I just want to go with AAR as far as I can, but I want advices to get as far as I could. Im newby into game, just been get a handful of chars into lvl 50-60 then got bored of them, but I thinki this will be the one, currently lvl 58 and still getting ton of fun.

I picked devotions enough to get:

Arcane currents (it seems like bread and butter for aether ray since it can proc all 5 currents and keep them respawning)

Arcane barrier (sounds good and low cd even if it dosnt absorb some type of damage I think I could get more resistance for the ones this dosnt absorb and forget a little about elemental, aether and chaos)

Arcane bomb (due aether RR)

whirpool (nice damage)

Also picked turtle shell since it was almost free bc it gave me 5 affinity points I needed anyway

And behemort (havnt used it, but for what I’ve read its like A tier as defensive devotion skill)

I’ve seen almost everyone pick Spear and hourglass but spear procs when hit so for it to being effective I think I should being hit most of the time and am not tank… For hourglass, well I only have 2 cd skills devastation and mirror, I dont feel like it will be worth… (but I can be wrong on everything)

For skills I just picked Trozan sky shard to proc arcane bomb, since its AAR build I think using other skills would lower my dps, except for devastation oc

I dont know where to spend the leftover skill points, I dont want to pick a 2nd class yet, bc I probably would regreat it later, as I said I probably will change my build in late game, and having my 2nd class free will give me a lot more freedom

Please give me as much advice as you can

If you are not planning to grind for endgame gear nerco and sticking with aether seems like the best choice. Lightning AAR requires specific gear to be funtional.

Your devotions are a mess, I’m afraid. You should stick to aether. Leviathan is completely redundant. It’s even not the first choice for cold btw.

Bat works wonder when bound to a good proccer (like AAR).

Having to stop channeling to cast Trozan Sky Shard every time a new enemy pops up is bad. Bind the Bomb to Aether Corruption from Seal of Corruption weapon component. You’ll have Bombs proccing for the whole duration of an engagement with just one inititial cast.

Fabric of Reality is a one-pointer for you. AAR/Devastation have no weapon damage. FoR’s main selling point is flat damage. Flat damage is only used in weapon damage.

Conversion is best at 9/10 and then at 5 or 6/10. The last rank has little returns. One point in Overload for aether resistance and as many as you can in Elemental Balance for crit dmg are recommended. Iskandra Elemental Exchange is a one pointer usually. You only get % energy regen from it. Energy leech doesn’t work with no weapon dmg. Unless you really can’t sustain don’t invest here.

where do I get corruption seal blueprint?

And any other advice about devotions? what should I get then?

I think then Im only gonna use AAR, devastation and aether corruption, so 2 of them will be already in use (bat and aether bomb) what would you bound to devastation?

Honestly, I don’t remember where Seal blueprints are gotten from. I think you can buy random ones at one of the vendors in AoM content. Or it’s a regular drop? Until then, look around at a trading forum and ask someone to craft you some. Or just add me on Steam markkasprzyk (says I’m from China). I’ll craft you a few.

I got skeletons bound to Devastation from a lack of a better skill. Skeletons from Revenant devotion.

On a binder you’ll probably also want Aeon with Time Dilation. That works best with one-point transmuted CT or a rune augment skill.
