Need help transiting into a final build. (2 hand Soldier into ?)

Hi, I’ve been messing around with some soldier builds, currently at 41 just pure soldier, I realize that soon i’ll need to dip into another mastery to help support my build. I have a warder so I don’t need to make another one of those.

I was trying to come up with a build centered around the legendary Leviathan mace but have no clue where i’d get extra cold damage from as nightblade you have to be using 2 1 handers.

My goal is to make a Two handed soldier plus whatever else that uses physical / trauma / ?3rd stat? but was having trouble because I use forcewave as my primary spell and that isn’t a default weapon attack.

Kinda just looking to see what my options are as a two handed soldier.
I have my grim calc build but can’t post it because i’m new to the forum?
build/8vA1RV < end part of the URL

Cold damage isn’t necessary. I’d switch to blade arc and go demo for something like this http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31783

If you want to go for cold damage too then either arcanist or nightblade would be best. Arcanists star pact skill gives a good boost to cold damage and converts some phys to cold.

Also nightblade doesn’t have to go for 2 1 handers, it has many bonuses to cold damage and good skills all round even for a 2 hand build.

@c4ndlejack I kinda wanted to make forcewave good, what makes bladearc better?

@Crixus if I took starpact and was Phy/Trauma/Cold would the physical to cold gimp my dps?
end part of GC build/bKF8TO something along those lines?

Thank you both for the general tips I think I have a better understanding

It’s better damage-wise, but for you current skills, blade arc is affected by attack speed bonuses and forcewave is cast speed.

It depends on your increases to the damage types and your attributes I guess. I’m not the best with working things like that out sorry.

But either way I think nightblade would be the best choice. Blademaster is a solid combo. Plus nightblade can do good cold damage to mix with your phys without converting damage types.
