Hello Guys,
Recently I’ve been working on finishing the Fire Strike build that I found on the forum and was farming for a better Kilrian’s mace. I found one which is a dobule rare, with tons of stats better but it still gives me a comparison of -6k dps. Attack speed is a little bit down and there is no casting speed, also some physical to elemental conversion percent - could that be the factor? On the character window the damage numbers actually show higher. Attaching screenshots for reference. Also attaching current snapshot of the demolitionist tree with the +3 mace. Any help / explanation will be appreciated.
For one, the “comparison” dps doesn’t factor in some things (I don’t remember which exactly), so it’s a poor judge.
Your character stats are a bit better. You show the second tab where it says “per hit”, but given the difference in attack speed it doesn’t tell much.
If you go back to the first tab and hover over the “damage per second” it will give you approximate breakdowns, try checking that.
For any meaningful help you’re better off posting a grimtools link to your character, that way people could identify if you have some less obvious things happening (like conversions you didn’t factor in, for example).
attack speed down, you hit a little harder (+2%), but you hit slower (-9%), which is probably causing the dps comparison tooltip difference
(page 2 is dmg per hit, weapon hover is dmg per second estimate)
Okay, so here’s my character so far if you’d like to take a deeper look Shieldbreaker, Level 100 (GD 1.2.1.6) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator but I also thought that this could be due to attack speed going down a bit.
Pierce resistance is not ideal, maybe try to shop for a Living Ring with “Impervious” prefix and a decent suffix…
Then you can ditch the Ugdenbog Leather in your pants for Scaled hide and fix the armor absorb.
You are missing an armor augment in the chest.
Overcaps on your resistances are missing, I recommend ~40% ele, acid, vit, 30% Chaos & Aether, 20% Pierce and Bleed.
Slow res on any affix would obviously be great, to get that to 80%. If you can find it.
Otherwise seems to be fairly on track.
