Can a monster’s physical resistance become negative (thus increasing phys damage taken) as a result of applied RR or 0 is a minimal phys res?
I think they can go negative, your own physical res can become negative
It can go negative but only -x% Physical resistance and x reduced target’s Physical/All resistance can push it beneath when they apply as they are subtractive, x% reduced target’s resistance is multiplicative so cannot. The order they apply in is -x% -> x% reduced -> x reduced if you’re not familiar.
It’s why lowering it is one of the strongest and most sought out ways to increase a Physical damage dealer’s damage. It also helps on enemies that are massively resistant to Physical damage as well, even if your total resistance reduction number can’t reduce their resistance below 0%.
I like this for ravager etc on certain builds https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/401
ravager has 85% phys res (?) and with assassins mark you can get it down to 62% (?) and then reduce by 15% we are down to 53% after that flat RR from say break morale
Thanks!
I know the basics of RR stacking, just wasn’t sure if phys works in a same manner as other resists.
