Nemesis bosses

So this following situation occured to me a few days ago: I went on a nemesis farming tour on ultimate like usual. Valdaran, Fabius, Benn’Jhar and the Iron Maiden. They usually go down fairly easy, only dying occasionally when I’m inattentive. This session was different though, was killed like 8 times by Fabius before ragequitting.

Has anyone got an idea, why the difficulty of nemesis bosses may vary that much? (I did not change anything in my strategy, gear or skills)

Fabius might have any weapon in the game. If he rolls two % HP weapons, you’re done. He once shredded my character that could easily facetank him with no effort at all, then when I killed him he had two weapons that dealt x-y% HP. One had max roll, the other mid-max roll. So this might be the issue. Other might be that he wields two weapons that convert his damage to a damage type you’re weak(er) against or shred your resists, or even both.

So it’s good to check what weapons he wields (or wielded) when you kill him to know what might’ve killed you.

Check fabius skils in grimtools, mabye he cast more one of the skills.

I consider u are well known him, so dunno.

Lol thx man, i didnt even know that fact. In cruci that can work too?

Disregarding the orb, that remains when you kill him and that spills loot, Fabius could have worn (and of course have used) some special items, that help him cutting you to pieces. He can wear Legendaries and other stuff, just like you.
If you happen to encounter him while that is happening, it can be a more painful experience than usual.
Other enemies have the same mechanics (even the normal mobs): They can drop what they have on them.

It works like that for every enemy that wields a weapon, maybe except for enemies that have a weapon MI and it works for any game mode.

don’t google notched bone fabius.

Thank you for your replies, I suspected something like that but wasn’t sure.
