Nemesis, conversion of damage, and Outcast rep

I have several questions so let’s try and start with the hardest one first.

The Coven of Ugdenbog has two similar items for different slots, Hexflame the dagger and Aetherbolt Pendant. Both of them have damage converstion on them. The pendant is fire to lighting for AAR. The dagger is aether to fire for AAR. Both are 100% so would it work like Aether to Fire and then Fire to Lightning? Current character is a Spellbinder so having all my AAR and Disintegration as one damage type in this case maybe Lightning would boost my overall dps vs the aether, fire and lightning I have now.

Second question, never yet gotten to the point of where I am now with unfriendly factions, I play hardcore so I do die. I know when you get Nemesis level of hate that faction will spawn a special boss. I know they have or usually have special spawn points. So my question is do they always spawn? Let’s pretend that the beast Nemesis spawns in Steps of Torment, if I run that dungeon every time I play it I will face that boss or not?

Last question is about Outcast rep, I had the Black Legion rep maxed out but doing Outcast rep quest made me loss some of the BL rep. What is the best way to get Outcast rep with the least damage to my BL rep?

No, conversion can only happen once.

Do bounties for the Black Legion will get your rep back up again.

you can not convert damage more than once

yes they always spawn at one of their spawn locations in each game session if you have nemesis status

Best way is just to grind back black legion reputation, by killing aetherial vanguards in crown hill (or BL quests or bounties). Also make sure to use writ or mandate

In my example of gear both of them do some AAR conversion is why you can only get one conversion then? So if you had The Mythical Dread Mask of Gurgoth for fire to lightning conversion. Invoker’s Shocking Touch for aether to lightning conversion. If both items did it at 100% then that means the AAR would be pure lightning damage?

Conversion is very simple, just follow the rule that no original damage number can not be converted more than one time.

its very simple. For example your AAR base flat damage it has: 100 aether dam + 120 fire dam + 150 lightning dam. If you equip both Hexflame (aether to fire) and Aetherbolt amulet (fire to lightning), then your final AAR dam will be: 0 aether dam + 100 fire dam (from aether conversion)+ 270 lightning dam (from both fire conversion and its own lightning dam). Thats what “conversion only apply once, not twice”
If you want your AAR got pure lightning dam, then you should use Aetherbolt amulet AND some items have “aether damage converted to lightning dam” and get them to 100% conversion. (and no other source of aether damage converted to other damage type- like Seal of Might component)

With your handy dandy math example its hard not to understand. Thank you.

The only thing I might add to this is the one weird exception. Elemental damage. 100 aether flat damage converted to 100% elemental results in 33.33 fire, 33.33 lightning, 33.33 cold. I think the extra .01 goes to fire because it’s first in the order.
