New extension - one info

Hi,
I have all DLC and extensions to Grim Dawn and soon we can buy the new one - Forgotten Gods.
I heard that we will meet one merchant/ blacksmithing who will change or give us the legendary item.

first option: We can change one legendary item for random another one.
second option: We can change one legendary item for specific another one.

Of course, we will have to pay additional for it. I don’t know what currency will be. The second option will be more expensive.

Is it true? Right now I would like to farm my set but this is almost impossible because drop for legendary is very small and if we have something then often this is not this item which we need.

Best Regards,
KrisBydR

Info on how the new transmutation of sets will work is here

http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70306

as for costs, not sure yet exactly what they’re going to be.

Very rare, compared to what?

Thank you for the information. It looks great. I can’t wait.

OK, just to be sure cause that post is a good year old. Transmutation, even the random option, works only on Set Items and produces only Set Items. For all those duplicate legendaries not part of any set, Dynamite is still the answer?

Trying to know what i should keep in my stash. Even with infinite capacity in GDStash i don’t like keeping dupes but i stopped blowing stuff when i heard FG would have an item conversion feature.

EDIT : yeah, and keeping duplicates of 1h weapons of course.

Yes, it’s just for sets.

Thanks

Blow-up time :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes, but it’s not for all sets.

“Cannot be transmuted into another item from this set”

I noticed it at with “Krieg’s Armament” first and then found that “Lokar’s Spoils”, “The Dark One’s Gift”, “The Shattered Guardian” and “The Vanquisher” come with the same restrictions.

I only checked the helms-category so sets without helms might be restricted, too.

Just search the entire item database with the string “Cannot be transmuted into another item from this set”

Then you will find that also Alkamos ring set(s) cant be transmuted

Don’t know about last 3, but first 2 as well as the rings malawiglenn mentioned are sort of MI sets so that might be the reason for the restriction.

That leaves a lot that can be transmuted  Also with helms being craftable items you could in theory (with enough ingredients) craft an entire set from helms. Thinking of this, what happens to the blacksmith bonus when you transmute a crafted helm ?

Man, i cant wait for the addon. hope it will coming soon :).
