New monsters and enemies

Although I’m not the most frequent players of action-roleplays games I find Grim Dawn to be an excellent successor to Diablo 2. And I have done other old games in the past like Mageslayer, fallout 2, and Moonstone a hard day’s knight.

One new monster I would like to see is a scorpion or scorpion based monsters that can have different colors and would certainly live in more barren and rocky regions. Maybe also hidden away a bit. It would dislike humans and most other factions.
Could we add other undead creatures like the vampire? It could make it steal life force for sure and summon other creatures. The vampire could somewhat rare in gram dawn.

The old game Mageslayer had some focus wizards monsters that could summon more monsters from what was once harmless animals warding around in the game. The Mages could turn toads into bloodthirsty toads with axes that had become evil like orcs. The evil mages could also help its allies to become stronger via magic spells. Like growing in size and physical strength. Maybe some of the developer of grim dawn could consider this.

I haven’t grasped all the mechanics of grim dawn and its hidden layers yet. But, maybe it could have the monsters to act somewhat differently during night and day. Some monster like the undead could be more active at night. Other monsters would appreciate daylight like the predatory birds. If one has played the ancient game moonstone from mindscape some monsters was stronger during full moon.

Forgotten Gods

as for the Vampires, “kinda”, if you squint a bit and use the imagination, not in the traditional fantasy sense but thematically close perhaps, and there are def monsters that lifesteal

Also we have an entire bloodcrazed Chthonian faction (not to mention Ravager himself).

ye Ch’thonian Harbingers were actually some of the vampire themed enemies i had in mind, wraiths being the others

I don’t have the forgotten god’s expansion yet so I didn’t know. With more or less classic vampires you could add in more side quest that could give some more flavors to the game, but sure it got a lot.

One can look through the list of undead and other creature’s I’m sure there are ideas there look at “Baba Yaga from eastern European folklore a deformed and/or ferocious-looking woman sneaking around.

Wraith from Warhammer fantasy roleplay “the wraith finds itself trapped between worlds, compelled to remain partly in world compelled to remain partly in the world of the living by some long-forgotten task, duty or obsession. Deprived of rest, it becomes warped and vengeful, and, in time, confused and lacking in proper mental faculties. Wraiths haunts tombs or ruins, and will slay living creatures that disturb them.
Physique: Wraiths have no material form, and appear as dark, misty humanoid shapes with burning red eyes dressed in shrouds. They may appear to be normal men from a distance in poor light. Alignment: evil”

And the text also says they are bound to certain place and have difficulty to wander beyond its “home location”.
