New PC experiencing incredibly low FPS in some places

DxDiag.txt (95.2 KB)
Brand new PC (3090ti, i9-13900KF, 32GB RAM, 144hz G-Sync monitor @ 4K resolution) is getting down to 30 FPS while just running around the map and sometimes dips down to around 15 during combat. This isn’t constant but it’s common enough that it’s a very real problem, especially since my old PC (980ti, i7-3770K, 16GB RAM, 60hz monitor @ 2K resolution) ran flawlessly in 95% of the entire game with very few dips in FPS in certain spots.

I have all the settings maxed with V-Sync off in full screen.

Any ideas?

Edit: I reread your dxdiag and what I thought was an integrated card, isn’t. So if you do have one, try bellow.

I’m reading this on my phone, so not the best review conditions.

You can use the NVIDIA control panrel to set the card to be in full power mode. Or your system settings.

It sounds like your system is using the integrated graphics card.

Check your NVIDIA control panel and set it for your NVIDIA card.

The other thing is to use Windows Graphics setting and set your NVIDIA controller there. You might only need to set it here. Search for Grpahics Setting in the Windows search on the task bar. You’ll need to set it by the Grim Dawn executable.

The 13900KF is the model without an integrated card. i9-13900 has UHD integrated chipset and my Nvidia Founder’s Edition 3090ti is listed as the detected card in the in-game settings.

I have Armoury Crate running on a second monitor and it was showing my GPU at around 95% usage during the largest lag spikes. This is a fresh install as I’m still stress testing my machine (spent the last two months trying to narrow down a hardware malfunction and I hope I got it right with a bad PSU so I’ve been testing the new one recently), so I’m sure there’s a few settings that aren’t set right within Nvidia’s control panel. I’ll look into that further.
