Hello! New to Grim Dawn - wondering if there are any general rule of thumbs for picking up the GG green/yellow items? Not going to pick up all greens and check them but are there some item bases/prefix/affixes that I should keep an eye out for that I can pick up while farming? Thanks fam
Rules:
- MI bases most of the times are much better than “common” ones (the latter often make junk even with the best mods).
- OA mods rock.
- HP mods rock.
- Resists rock, especially chaos, aether, poison, vitality and CC resistances.
- Rolls should match base item’s stats and direction. For example, an Obsidian Headsplitter has bonuses to forcewave and physical damage, so naturally, if it gets mods for physical damage and cast speed, it will rock. But if it gets attack speed, or elemental damage, etc - it will suck.
- ADCTH mods rock (for non-casters).
- %Damage is good to have, but not critical. Rare items are often valued for their defensive powers and OA.
Yellows are really not worth the time unless you desperately need some iron, filter them out. AoM went nuts with the yellow drops as well, more than doubled compared to pre-AoM. Filter that trash out I say.
Greens are mostly trash as well, but there are far fewer of them so I set my filter to rare+ and just vendor them if the properties are crap. Inventory space shouldn’t be an issue.
Thanks - very helpful cheers fellas
Weeeelllll…I’m gonna have to speak out against filtering out greens specially after AOM. Some can be very powerful
If you see the Incorruptible prefix then keep it. I usually hold onto boots/gloves/belts/pants if I find them to be god-like because they’re not often used in Legendary Set gear so they’re very reusable.
