New Stash System

Hello,

I really enjoy playing Grim Dawn and wanted to suggest a major quality of life improvement. Grim Dawn’s storage system is already very extensive, but by the late game, it reaches its limits, and dozens of mule characters have to be created. For this reason, many people resort to GD Stash, which I find somehow doesn’t feel right.

Therefore, I wanted to make the following suggestion:
An Atlas system that manages all armor and weapons. Every item you find can be imported there and copied as often as you like by any character, for a fee equal to twice the vendor price. If you find a previously stored item, you can import it, and the previously stored item will inherit the better stats, if any. This would give you real motivation to do various farm runs, as everything can be useful without filling up all your bank slots in the long run. It would be nice to get some feedback.

Best regards
Mibo

Dev’s don’t want this, although you have GD item assistant which is a great tool for inventory mgmt, highly recommend it (and doesn’t feel like ‘cheating’ like GD stash)

First, as often as you like? So get one copy and never have to get another ever again? Defeats the purpose of actually going out and finding loot not to mention having multiples of rogue dungeon MI’s that have a low drop rate for a reason.

If your hoarding gear to build the next 100 characters or holding on to it “in case” I’d have to question this decision.

As for collecting, don’t know what to say this isn’t some mmo where you are collecting odd ball stuff, rare pieces of gear, items from long past, or obscure events.

From what I’ve read here on this forum (IIRC) stash space is going to get some expansion and GDtools exist for this specific reason as stated already.

I like the “atlas” idea but I don’t think it should give you unlimited copies of an item. For me, it should only be a handy way of storing real items, not copying them. I could picture something that resembles a stash tab that receives all the items you own matching a query in a search bar for example. That way, you would preserve the stats of each item.

Can you explain the difference between GD Stash and GD Item Assistant? I don’t know the latter, I use the former, it never felt like cheating. It just takes your shared stash tabs into the void and spews them back when you want to.

GDStash can also be an item/character editor if you want to use those utilities. GDIA is just storage, nothing else.

Thanks. So it’s people not controlling themselves and cheating that feels like cheating.

Not cheating to them. Others feel they would be tempted so don’t use GDStash.
