NEW to GD, not to ARPG.

Hello there!

As title says : im new to GD but not to ARPG. I’m a Diablo serie vet and played various game over the years.

Quick questions about GD :

i havent found the chest at the moment. You know, loot storage? Where it is located?

About multiplayer :

  • Is there alot of multiplayer games or i’ll be struck forever alone?

-I could use a couple of friendly people to help me guide through the game, to help me start up. Not about items, but overal tips and things i need to know. If someone is generous enough to share bits of knowledge to an occasional player (real life duties…), that would be very much appreciated

Thanks everyone, hope the community is a good one

Hi and welcome.

The first stash is located up through the main gate in Devil’s crossing. Go in and up the stairs to the left.

To start off. If you are a melee guy go soldier with Cadence/ Deadly momentum, 1 point in fighting form + Bulwark and Blitz.

1 point in fishting spirit and menhir’s will. Some points in military conditionioning (never above 10 even with + skills). 1 point in Scars of battle and decorated soldier (+skills will do the work later on).

Secondary master whatever you want. Soldier + Occultist is very popular these days. So you can get Occultist mastery bar to lvl 32 adn max Curse of Frailty for HUGE phys damage debuff. Bloood of Dreeg 16/16 (it gives instant on demand heal, huge regen- adds up with bulwark and overguard- and also offensive ability which is very important for any build to do crits. Aspect of the guardian 12/12 for poison resist which is wonderfula nd alsi 12% physical damage resist which is hard to get in this game.

Cheers

You need to do the first main mission to be able to get through the gates on the left. Then you will have access to your stash, skill points and devotion points reclaim (you can’t choose a new mastery once you made your second choice, and attributed points points can’t be reclaimed (but there are character editors that can do this)

later on, you rescue a blacksmith and have access to crafting, so keep an eye out for blueprints)

MP is setup between GD friends (so you can play with those that are in your friends list or over LAN) *there are NO dedicated servers, and won’t be for the foreseeable future)

I also second the witchblade, (soldier and occultist) it is an awesome class, and if you get stuck, there are a few guides that can help you, or post on the forum and we can help.

And have fun, this is an awesome game.

Oh yes, recently, there was a mod for SC2 that tried and failed to capture D2, I gave that a try and thought it was half baked and a poor choice of engine) but if you like D2, there is a modder on the GD forums named Ram, that is also making a D2 mod, check it out if you are interested, not complete or playable yet, but worth keeping an eye on.
