bought the Game 2 Days ago at Steam and its pretty nice. i like it very much.
Im Lvl26 at this point and all is good except that i dont know what stats i need.
Can anyone tell me which i need?
Im playing the 2hand Shaman without a second class, dont know if it is needed.
I maxed out the swarm and pact 6/10/5. Works for me.
Stats are generally considered to be best spent as ‘cunning and spirit to equip stuff, everything else into physique,’ but as you get more experience with the game you may want to deviate from that pattern to maximize your damage potential. Cunning increases your chance to hit/crit and your physical/pierce/bleed/internal trauma damage. Spirit increases your energy and energy regen as well as all other damage types. Physique increases your health(very important!) and your ability to avoid hits.
Second class is crucially important but not mandatory. Some single class builds are even end-game viable (check the compendium), but for the most part you need the increased stats and the skill versatility from picking up a second class.
Devouring swarm won’t carry you long past level 30, its mainly used as a debuff later for either bleed or vitality damage. You need to chose what you will do now.
This can be physical or lightning 2H melee with soldier, demo or occultist, bleed melee with soldier, nightblade or occultist, lightning caster with demo, maybe also ranged with demo. There is an option for vitality caster or summoner but these are better started as occultist I think.
You will only keep devouring swarm if you chose bleed or vitality as your main damage, otherwise respec it to something else.
Devouring swarm can carry you through veteran, I did it multiple times in hardcore. Maxed it’s enough to kill all bosses before elite difficulty. So it’s up to you to decide which route to go till level 50.
That must be long boss figts though :). I’ve tried it multiple times too. Perhaps it can be done, like with fireblast, but I always took something extra and that extra was actually doing the main job. Its about as good as 12-0 sigil considering the debuff, and only if you skill and gear for vitality
Didn’t level with sigil to be fair, so I don’t know. Good thing on swarm is you can push it with bleeding and vitality, so you have more options, there is sweet faction gear.
Preference might be the safe way swarm does the job in hardcore, I guess.
But, for Shaman there are no first class builds. Is it important to choose occultist before shaman? Or is it a difference if i choose the shaman first?
And theres the items, i got a ton of it but same here, dont know what to choose. In the Build postet above i read i should choose bleeding, but, the trader dont got anything with bleeding. instead chaos, aether, life and so on.
And if i found a item with bleeding it is much less powerfull than my current equip. (i think)
Heavy Gear or Medium? (Light? Cant figure out if it exists)
If there is no bleeding on the items what should i choose? The Gear with the stats+x or resistances or physical dmg or, in my current state i take +regen +energie.
Theres a shitload of options and for me as beginner its a bit to much to choose the right.
Im searching for a guide in the way: You are Shaman, take weapon/gear x with stat y and for the later game, that and extra bonuses etc.
Conjurers do not have skills with lots of flat bleed which makes them a little more gear dependant than others. These items they depend upon can be some of the most common epics however which will drop for you in multiple copies on every playthrough. But they have lots of debuff and don’t suffer as much as other classes when going against undead or other immunes.
You don’t need lots of gear with %bleed apart from epics I suggested in my build post, you will get more from devotion and mastery skills. Occasional %bleed is nice but just fill other slots with hp, resist, and offensive ability (OA).
Heavy armor is always better than light if you can afford it, and you can. Be sure to put most of your stat points in physique though.
Starting as a shaman is OK, and if you want to focus bleed and skip vitality it is the way to go actually, you want to max shaman first.
