I making decision for my WH between having Chaos conversion (and Abominable Might) and not have it.
So that skill converts part of piercing damage on nightblade’s WPS into acid damage and add a big chunk of flat Acid and Poison dmg. The question is: does it converts only flat piercing damage or include piercing damage we get after Armor Piercing conversion?
In latter case it looks like it’s better to stay out of phys damage conversion (except for Acid) as it goes before Armor Piercing conversion and can eat a good chunk of piercing damage which we converting into Acid.
Armor piercing conversion occurs last so there are no more conversions after that.Piercing is funny like that:eek:
Worth a point anyway since you can almost hard cap it with all the + skills going around. Also, what is more important than the flat damage is the posison DOT. Adds up nicely and gets you really high dot numbers
Sounds shitty. So on Belgothian’s Shears it only adds some flat acid+poison (considering 128% weapon damage ofc) as it doesn’t have any flat piercing (if not to count flat bonuses from Devotions+Dual Blades+items/components/auras flat piercing)?
Anyway I overmaxed it cuz of the damage it adds to the WPS so the only thing to think about was about Armor Piercing conversion - worth it or not, seems like not and pure Phys=>Acid conversion always better than maxing Armor Piercing if I use swords instead of daggers
I mean if it would work after Armor Piercing and i had 0% physical/piercing and 300% acid damage increase and had a sword with a 50 dmg and 50% armor piercing and 50% pierce=>acid conversion I would deal 25 phys 12.5 pierce and 50 acid damage and if I would maxed armor piercing to 100% it would be 25 pierce and 100 acid damage. So there would be something to consider taking Blades of Nadaan. It’s just an example and it doesn’t work like that so I place it in a spoiler (for those who can misunderstood).
Best weapons for WH are either dual Venomlash (no physical damage), or Venomblade weapons (poor pierce conversion). And it doesnt even work for them, cause pierce conversion is applied last.
And Nidalla’s Hidden hand is too weak to put more than 1 point into it, as it works only for few WPS, and it adds SKILL damage, so ADCTH doesnt work for it. It also isnt multiplied by %weapon damage.
And WH’s main damage is poison, anyway.

Maybe it will work like this later when I’ll have enough DPS on my Devotion procs (Tainted Eruption mostly) for dealing with trash packs and skillpoints in Shadow Strike to deal with a bosses but for now most of my damage comes from LMB and I use all 3 WPS using NHH so for now it feels good.
And yeah, I know about daggers but still don’t have them so thinking about using what I got (likely Manticore Longsword from Black Legion’s quest and some Dermapteran claws with acid damage) and how to make them effective.
I also know that leveling with DEE could be more effective but I don’t like gameplay of it.
