Nightbringer is hard to use for Occultist

Nightbringer: increased % Acid dealt as Vitality to 100% and removed % Acid damage. Added +2 Summon Limit and 100% of Physical and Cold dealt as Vitality modifiers for Wind Devil. Reduced Cooldown, increased damage and increased Summon Limit on the skill proc.

Based on this change, what builds can you do now that it’s 100% acid conversion? The only build that comes close to mind is DEE.

Ideally it should be a cool 2h caster “staff” weapon that somewhat feels different enough to classic 1h+offhand casters, but it kinda fails at that.

It would be cool if they removed the portals entirely and instead change it for a spammable skill similar to Morgoneth’s projectile attack where you could use it on a short cooldown. Right now, it seems redundant since we already have the portals on Morgoneth’s set and Nightshard shield.
