I have been waiting for I think about 15 years for chickens. No chickens. A balance my be in order.
Have you tried forcing them to arrive by ordering them?

The traders have the supply and they know you want it. It’s basic economics!
As soon you cave and request the chickens, they will start arriving every year at discount.

Being cheap, you can still get the bare minimum needed for them to have more chickens the next year. If traders happen to bring more after, especially at a discount, then fill up that coop
