No matter how many flax I plant, the amount in the storage remains zero
Welcome to the forum. 
Are your storage facilities able to take it, i.e. you haven’t unticked it in them? How many weavers do you? Are they taking all your supply as soon as it’s harvested?

I have no weaver yet since I just restarted because I thought I did something wrong. But it’s the same situation. 
I just harvestet flax but it doesn’t show in the store. I have about 1.500 items raw material and about 1000 pcs food in stock.
In the game before the flax did neither reach the store nor the weaver.
I think there’s a bit of delay of flax going to its storehouse after the harvesting tbh, not a big of a deal tho.
That, or my wearvers are working way to fast making me run out of flax.
I harvested flax for many years again and again without ever making it to the weaver or to the store. I can’t produce clothes or start the mill etc. 
Have you verified game files? Have you checked the storage on the crop fields?
How do I check it?
To verify the game files, right click on the game in your library, go down to Properties and over to Installed Files then click on the verify option you’ll find there.
Thank you medea. I did - all files have been verified successfully. How can I check the storage on the crop fields? I just built a weaving mill and a store next to the fields - I hoped that might help but it doesn’t make a difference
I just noticed that in the planting info the amount of planted flax always is 0 - though the flax has a checkmark. When I plant other food there is always shown a certain amount under “planted”
It’s at the bottom of the crop field interface.
Could you provide some screenshots? You can press F3 to turn on the unit widgets during harvests to see where the farmers put the harvested flax.
Thank you guys for all your advices - I don’t know how and why but at least I harvested my first flax - WOHOOOOO
