I played a lot in early access and when it went live. I have a level 50 occultist/arcanist. I felt pretty strong with my build when i stopped playing. I had just started Elite when I stopped playing.
Well I came back last week and I’m getting rolled over and over. So I read some guides and respecced my guy out of DEE. Well I was still getting rolled after that. So I dialed it back to normal/veteran. I can do it BUT I have to be very careful or I will be dead in a sec. Has the game increased in difficulty. I would link by gear but I don’t think you can. Can anyone recommend a build that is a good set up for an occultist/arcanist, that is idiot proof ;D?
Warlock is a tough combo to make idiot proof, as it combines the two primarily caster based classes with the least health. There are a few options in the compendium but Warlock is pretty advanced no matter what you do, imho. I think the simplest would be to shoot for the Clairvoyant’s set and dual albrecht’s duality rings to get 100% chaos to aether conversion and use CD spells like doom bolt and devastation with aether AAR, but I don’t know that I’d call that idiot proof. Try looking at some other class combinations to see how people create tanky mages (devotions, circuit breakers, damage absorption skills) and apply their techniques to this warlock.
Also worth noting, Maiven’s Sphere + Possession reduces incoming damage by a lot.
