Nurgle Bath Bombs - Pet Cabalist

I added the leveling setup to the original post

Regarding final devo setup, can follow the order inside the grimtools link :+1:

Thanks! Btw that leveling setup mentions ritualist and shaman but it’s accurate for this build

Oh wait, I took it from my Ritualist guide. That is why. Will fix it

Does spectral binding apply to pets? I don’t see the aura around the skeletons just myself so I don’t know for sure. I take it they aren’t getting that health bonus

Spectral is only for the player.

That skill does not mention anything about “allies” so no.

So, I just nurgle-bombed Mogdrogen in FoA on Ascendant Hardcore difficulty without any of the new things that expansion offers. Yeah, this build is an absolute monster.
That said, my butt cheeks were still clenched beyond belief the entire time I was fighting him.

Build soon to be updated with this setup - Cabalist, Level 100 (GD 1.3.0.0) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator

Still undergoing testing for now

The old build is still rocking; killed Mogdroge the wolf, man took a while, need to kite a lot for sure. So far best boss ever, compared to the Dread, Dread is nothing lol. Wish there is a way to turn off the Ascension alter, i should have restarted the game and didn’t have ascentsion alter on before deciding to fight him

I guess for the new pants, just have to farm SR 31ish?

Would you consider the new Blightshard amulets now with 3 scourges

Were you having issues with Dread? His ridiculous life steal attack which seems to hit all pets and gives him massive chunks of health back. I can barely even outdamage his healing with this build

The first time ya i did have issues since I’d never fought him before. Do notice that sometimes it is easy to kill, but sometimes it took a while, I guess due to life steal. I did modify my skill a bit, moving some skill points from curse to harvest, like below, to give more DPS. I think that is the only change I did for my build, but that means more buttons to press; others are still the same as Maya’s old setup and gear, since no luck with pants lol

Saw this; he killed Mogdroge the wolf in 36s- crazy. Not sure if he has all 5 ascension alter enabled. [1.3.0.3 ] HC - Classic Beastcaller Set Fire Pet Conjurer - #4 by e771ca

Updated: So it looks like you can keep fighting Mogdroge, this time without the 5 ascension alter and able to kill him within a minute, so the above video, I guess is also without 5 ascension alter

For pants, SR/Totems/Dungeons, the usual.
Blightshard amulet also works

This is the one I should be following now? The build posted 3 days ago, what changed :eyes:

Wanted to start playing again with a fresh start since the new DLC dropped.

Is the leveling part still ok to follow? I managed to get to elite with it, but frankly it feels difficult to proceed. Not sure if its gear related (I’m focusing on acid+elemental damage gear), but hound and crow are now struggling to kill mobs and I dont feel very tanky. Not playing on HC, so dying is just an annoyance. Currently following the occultist part, tried it with necromancer, but the skeletons are just painful to level with.

I did an SSF with this build about a year ago (before FOA) and it was a relative breeze starting with Necro. Skipped skellies altogether and concentrated on getting the exploding blight fiends with max on all 3 nodes. Didn’t even start Occultist until Necro maxed so could get Reap Spirits too.

Don’t know if it will be similar now because it seems that FOA juiced especially the boss monsters even in Normal. Will have to give it a try in the near future.

I haven’t been able to play got caught up with work.

When do blightfiends get good? You need rotting fumes and blight burst? They’re not like skeletons where they start off being good with just the base skill?

I now have 4 days off in a row and no responsibilities. Only GD

If they are blowing up they are good even with just first node. I generally follow a 2 points in skill, 1 point in bar philosophy. So by the time you get to the Unstable Anomoly transmuter you should have about 10 points in the Blight Fiend. That is pretty good. It only gets better as you max out the Blight Fiend itself and start getting to where you are putting points into Rotting Fumes. Of course by the time you get to Fumes you have had to opportunity to put points into Spectral Binding and Spectral Wrath which helps. Until you get to Blight Fiends you can always use skellies (or in my case I used the ember/ice shard components and played as a caster very early in Act 1).

I don’t think I like unstable anomaly
