Nvidia driver - what to install (best practice)

Dear Community.

I have installed the newest drivers some seconds ago. I still do not install everything. I just install the drivers, no Geforce Experience, no HDMI drivers and no Physx software from Nvidia.

From your knowledge. What is the best choice for best FPS in Grim Dawn? Just installing drivers or everything from the driver package including Physx?

Best regards

Personally I don’t find there to be much of a downside no matter how you do it… in the end it all is the same and I’ve seen no evidence of a negative side effect no matter which way you go. When Experience was still more or less new there was a lot of hubbub that it caused issues and affected gameplay but if that ever truly was the case I don’t see it, at least not anymore.

I always install Experience now for 2 main reasons: 1) I can easily update my drivers in it and 2) ShadowPlay.

There is nothing easier and more lightweight for quick screen recording than Shadowplay on Nvidia rigs. This alone makes it worth it to me.

I do not, however, let Experience adjust my graphical settings for games. It isn’t very good at it in my opinion and I’d much rather retain full control of that myself and use the old fashioned Nvidia Control Panel to do such things.
