Official Grim Dawn Kickstarter Thread

It is an interesting idea, posting a cut-off for stretch goals and then trying to meet that amount through the pre-order system. We’ll think about this some more. It seems like a possibility.

Oh yeah Raven that’s a fantastic idea !

I need a confirmation : could we consider that the $80k (?) accumulated before KS through the pre-order system are already used to cover previous costs, previous feeding and supply of Crate members and so on ? I mean, it’s totally logical, but can medierra confirm that money from early pre-order won’t influence the next stretch goals anyway ?

And what about the possible money from a generous 100k-publisher ?

Hehe, wishful thinking but a significant portion of that money is spent and the remainder was taken into account when calculating our KS funding goal. We wouldn’t have made those stretch goals if we already had the money to cover some of them.

woo 350k! gogo funding mayhem. Let’s hope we can go even higher =)

Dual pistols achieved! Next up, more unique art.

What I find interesting about these stretch goals is what people are most excited for. I see a lot of people into the new weapon usages (duel wield pistols and 2 handed melee), But I honestly don’t really care about those. I’m more interested in more game content, the new area, the new town, and the 3 new random end game dungeons.

Not to say there’s a wrong thing to think. It just shows that different people come to a game for different reasons.

I too am looking forward towards the additional baddies hidden around the game (like $375k and $400k etc…)

its awesome that we hace come this far, I hope we can reach 400k or higher by te end of this

This has been a really great week with not a single day under 10k. Even today is almost at 12k already and Sundays have traditionally been the weakest day of the week. We’ll reach 400k without a problem and I really think we can reach all the stretch goal milestones before this is over as long as we get a decent final 2 day push.

Yeah, I’m actually very surprised by today’s amount of pledges. It is getting near to the previous two sundays combined which is quite something. I can only assume that more people are finally discovering the GD kickstarter, which is great. And it is starting to look like that the total amount of backers will end up well above the 10k, which is also a great statistic for Crate.

360k level achieved! Ladies and gentlemen, we have 25 extra pieces of unique item art. Up next, an extra end-game boss.

Another milestone passed. At a rate of 10k a day, we’ll reach 400k with one day to spare. I’m hoping we can get to at least 425k by the end.

If I’m not mistaken, this may be the best Sunday the Grim Dawn Kickstarter has ever had. I wonder what it is? Is it the stretch goals? Is it the devilishly clever new tiers at $24 and $28? Is it thoughtful sons and daughters buying Grim Dawn for their mother? I bet that’s it! What better way to say “Mom, I love you” then with the gift of Grim Dawn?

You aren’t wrong… it’s actually the best weekend that Grim Dawn has had since the launch of the campaign

The email to TQ.net fans might have something to do with it.

Other than that, I think that we’re nearing the end date push, as is usual on Kickstarter. Let’s hope the coming days are only seeing ever increasing backer activity.

Raised my pledge from $50 to $98.

If everyone is pushing so hard near the end, why shouldn’t I? :stuck_out_tongue:

(Gotta take advantage of my higher paycheck…shorter shifts and, thus, less monies, and thus less disposable income, fast approaching. :/)

I have a question medierra.

In the KS you have 360k + 100k of the guy “Serge”, you will have 460k… the game will have the translation in EFIGS?

If we get that money it will most likely go to developing general content. It won’t count towards any Kickstarter goals.

Somehow i have a feeling that Enchanted Burrwitch Brew was inspired by watered down Double Bag of Long Trail. :stuck_out_tongue:

I wish we reached the 2-handers goal…for me, there is nothing more important than this little goal. =))
