Prior to the xpac I had found every blueprint the game had.
Now they same annoying grind for new now missing ones. Most annoyingly sacred plating!
Aside from joining gladiator crucible carries 130-150 in hopes of multiple bp drops, do others have a good farming route.
I go to deepwood mountains-hit treasure trove, gates of necropolis- run north in hopes of nemesis, blood grove vendor (by far the most reliable source so far), akovian undercity for treasure trove and nemesis. only kill heros while running.
all in all this gets boring and old real fast so once again
You are missing a Yellow one and have all the Purple?
I’m gonna look tonight I might have them extra cause I learn BP only when I need them (I have a page of stash full of duplicata and a full page of BP I still have to learn). I know at one point I had 4 of each Seal except Annihilation for exemple
As far as i can tell, it works the same as Nemesis Troves. It always drops one but if it drops one you already have, it will reroll to others until it stops. Meaning it can still not drop any blueprint you don’t have.
I’m sure I’m missing a ton of blueprints introduced in xpac, I had a check list prior so I knew I had found them all. Just haven’t found a good printable checklist including the new bp’s.
They make me want to rage quit! An entire night leeching gladiator crucible/ running treasure troves and nemesis all to get nothing. Found out what the mats are to craft sacred plating and just rolled my eyes. Farm for eternity to hopefully find the blueprint you want just to farm even longer to acquire enough mats to make them!!
New rouge dungeon better be a blueprint dungeon where after you beat boss a vendor will sell you up to three blueprints of your choice per run.
So sick of quest rewards being bp’s already learned makes quest pointless and unrewarding (fix this)
Also if you receive the skeleton key BP from a quest why does the idiot in the blood grove e always offer it??!!!
Exactly. I am definetely missing some blueprints too. I dont know how many but for instance I have not found “Blueprint: Reign of Ice and Fire” yet. Also treasure troves stopped dropping the BPs at some point, dunno why. I openned roughly 40+ troves and not a single BP. Also the statement in patch notes : “The chest now always attempts to drop a blueprint on all difficulties” does not mean you always get the BP if you are missing any - for instance once I got 2 BPs, another run I got no BP, next run I got one, etc. Last two SoT (ultimate) consecutive runs I did not get any BP…
I also dont know why but it looks like the legendaries are more rare now (after 1.0.3.0 or 3.1, dunno exactly) then before. Now it is quite rare to see even epic item when I kill hero/boss monster. Usually I get some gold + vitality essence + green items (and probably whites and yellows )…could be a bad luck but I am more suspicious…
I have too hit a bad run on troves and nemesis chest. Ugh didn’t think that ring fire and ice was a BP, add that to my headache!
As far as your legendary dilemma- I have about 1400 HRs in game play. For excitement factor drop rate is spot on. For the I want it all now (like me an my blueprints ) Diablo 3 drop rate - well that’s what crucible is for. But even that is timely and can take a while to piece out a character unless you get groups who just drop everything. But by far crucible farming is the way to go. (Blueprints drop about same rate I feel so running solo campaign troves still might win?)
I have to say that this addition of yellow blueprints seems to be a way to water down the possibility of getting a purple blueprint. I mean tell me if there are any yellow blueprint items you actually use for your end game build. I can’t think of any and haven’t seen any. It is annoying that troves don’t have the yellow blueprints removed from their drop pool. I mean troves are random and not guaranteed and sometimes rare and then you get excited when you find one and disappointed when you open one and get a yellow blueprint. That should also include nemesis loot troves. You want to feel rewarded after having such difficult fights and then you get a yellow blueprint when it should be guaranteed purple. I don’t mind grinding and playing and killing stuff but the rewards have to match the effort.
I did the ultimate Grava’Thul nemesis boss and got 60 so far of the level 94 legendary blue prints. I also got the components and relics I was missing. He will drop all legendary blueprints, except for some reason the level 75’s (there’s a chance he did, but didn’t notice). You have to do the elite nemesis for that. He does seem to drop even level 50 legendary bp’s otherwise.
He doesn’t seem to drop any epic/magic/rare bp’s, nor any consumable recipes.
His stash will roll twice to see if it’s a blueprint you already have. It doesn’t drop anything if both are what you have already.
Also, blueprints for helmets are not treated as blue prints. They are treated as regular legendary items and fall based on that table. In other words, helmet blueprints are not among the ones checked by the above formula.
All nemesis drop blueprints at a very high % at first, but once all the easy ones are out of the way the drops slow down to a trickle. I don’t think that I’ve gotten any of my lvl 90 relic plans from nemesis though, perhaps they are like the helm plans and drop like a legendary item?
The only 2 relics I still needed when I started with him were Solael’s Decimation and Dreeg’s Affliction. They both dropped fairly early in my farming. I still needed 4 of the new seal components and he dropped those early too.
As far as level 90 (you did mean 90 and not 94?) BP’s, there are 6 of them for non-relics and they all are purchased from the different factions. For level 90 relics, I don’t know if he drops them as I had them all already.
The helmet blue prints falling into the legendary item drop category instead of the blue print drop category was something a crate employee responded when I asked in another thread.
I only need 12 non-helm level 94 blue prints. Most of the the ones I have came from him.
Despite all the ones I’ve received, I still haven’t received the one BP i started out to get - the Mythical Necrolord’s Gaze. I really want this, maybe some other spawn drops it more frequently? Nothing specific is listed in the database as dropping it, so I guess I need to keep farming for it. I wonder if only certain bosses are qualified to drop it.
Unfortunately, the mythical necrolord’s gaze is not being offered by anyone on the trades. I’m sure not all bp’s others are after are among the trades either.
Usually I get 1 blue item (not BP) from nemessis chest and nothing else. I am definetly still missing some blueprints (dunno how many) and I dont remember when I got a BP from a nemesis chest. I also tried to kill Grava but with the same result - no BP at all. I also dont remember the last time I got BP from the final dungeon chest. But recently I got one BP from a treasure trove…something like after 80+ chests, quite strange. Probably more BPs you know, lower the BP drop chance is, dunno.
Drops are the same for every nemesis chest, the guy we were quoting just got most of his drops from grava thul b/c he’s an easy nemesis to find (and kill now that he got battered with the nerf stick). I got most of the new plans from farming fabius, but it was really obvious when the drops stopped b/c I went from getting plans almost every run to very rarely getting them anymore. Now I get plans from random elites, here and there from a treasure trove, and still sometimes (rarely) from fabius or iron maiden.
The new relic plans are all level 90, that’s what I meant. I don’t think I got any of them from nemesis.
