Can we have the old loading screen pls.
This new is to stereotyp imo.
I have not buyed the expansion because of this, I cant see this young woman every minutes hours and hours. Like a cheap asia grind game, sorry.
It would be nice to have the loading screens alternate, or be able to choose the loading screen.

What a stupid reason to not buy the expansion… You’re ok with killign humans, demons, zombies, to see a man burning his family inside his house, a little kid that is a demon and can kill her whole family, if you release her from her “prison”, but “OMG! Do you NOT DARE to put a female in my loading screen, CRATE!”
I would really like for you to point a cheap asian game with a loading screen that has a a lady in Victorian outfit and in a non-sexual position, like this lady fromgd’s loading screen… and if you find this loading screen arousing in any way, you have even more severe problems, than the one you already have.
Some people are not too keen on the bosoms. Hardly prudish, plus they aren’t asking for it to be removed for everyone, but making it an option.

As for the second paragraph, maybe people don’t get turned on by the image of the bosoms, and are tired of seeing them. So again, a poor example.
This isn’t the first person who has made such a request, and requested it in a way the didn’t impact those that want it.

Everybody has their own preferences and flavors. I do agree that missing out on the entire expansion due to the loading screen is a shame. But, It’s the OP’s loss. I disagree that the loading screen makes the game like a highly sexualized asian game. Cleavage can be present without being overly sexual. Personally, I think the outfit the woman is wearing is fine. It shows some cleavage and a bit of her thigh but it’s not gratuitous.
On the technical end, Zantai has already explained that writing the code for alternating loading screens would take time to implement and he feels that time could be put to better use. Should Crate decide to implement alternate/random loading screens in the future, I’d be all for it because more options is never a bad thing.
Yes, it’s stupid and ridiculous… getting triggered by a female on a loading screen, and thinking that a woman wearing a victorian dress, while holding a severed goat or wendigo head, with her makeup all screwed up is sexual in any way, then you need to seek help.
The loading screen is fine, and they don’t need to catter to a bunch of people that see sex in anything.

So what if it’s a choice? it’s still in the game, and that makes the game dark enough… you’re still playing the game, and the expansion even adds more dark themed stuff in it, like the women being used to breed aetherials… so who the f*** cares about some random woman in a loading screen?? Enjoy the game for what it’s worth, and not because you can’t handle a woman.

I think it would be nice if the devs could allow people to select one of the two existing loading screens, and/or rotate them.
It’s just a request, and the devs will decide if they want to do it or not.
I have to agree on some of Belzak reactions. Not liking is another thing, not buying something for just one picture ( a bias that is created due to tons of asian games) is very very another thing ,which is very absurd . Being able to choose loading screen image or rotation of images seem best solution for now.

Part of the problem with the original loading screen is that people got tired of it; the same will happen with the new loading screen.
Brief and to the point. This artwork IMO generally doesn’t fit very well. And it is not because of woman.

It’s the loading screen. I see so often this screen (portal, in-out cave, loading game, going another floor, …). It’s too much and ruined the game experience, I can see this on twitch.
So, the vanilla game is so rich, maybee its enough for me.
This game has options for 1000 things, why not an option to the old screen? No time for this little only? Absurd…

I’m going to cast my vote under the loading screen doesn’t exactly fit the game (who is she anyway?) and I would love alternating loading screens. Being locked out of the original loading screen is a bit silly considering someone put time and effort into drawing that. Besides, I’m sure there is other concept artwork for the game that could be put in to give some variety.
I’m for the alternating loading screen too, because people will get tired of the new loading screen just like they did with the original.
If the devs can spend the effort to provide a system for rotating loading screens, then they can add in new screens as they get time to create new ones.
Edit: I’m guessing that the lady in the new loading screen is Rallia, the witch you save in the Blood Grove. Though I’m just guessing and I encountered her just recently. So I’m probably wrong.

That should be about the easiest possible mod. Doubt we will see anything in the game though wrt different loading screens.
Just find where the game stores these screens and switch the file names around? Can’t be much more difficult can it?

It’s not that I don’t appreciate the new loading screen, it’s more that it isn’t so… family friendly, as mentioned elsewhere. It’s not exactly explicit at all, but when it flashes up, other people in the room get this strange idea that “there’s more where that’s coming from”, as if that loading screen is representative of the rest of the game, when in reality there is nothing quite like it elsewhere.
I suppose when people say it doesn’t fit the game it generally means that there is nothing of this style anywhere else, and so it gives you a wrong impression. I felt that the previous loading screen was more focused on the background, and the person wasn’t so much of a major part (maybe it represented the player, but in a very neutral and passive way). Also note that I don’t dislike it, I just think it doesn’t represent GD as much as the previous one did, nor does AoM feel like it is fit better by the new loading screen rather than the old.
Regardless of one’s reasoning, I am personally a huge fan of customisation and options. The more the merrier, and changing the loading screen is most definitely an option I’d care to have!

The titty bitch is a marketing trick to sell copies and all, cool. But IMO doesn’t belong to this game at all - doesn’t fit in the game’s atmosphere and looks cheap.
Could be done way better - like, a monster creature with tits, or a zombie with tits, or rotting bodies with tits thaaat big, or just tits.
All of these would anyway attract a massive amount of little jerks with their parents’ credit cards, but the actual atmosphere would be there.
Another design feature I personally dislike is the new GD logo at the task bar. The old one was way better.
Such a good game can’t have such an ugly logo. Shame.
